I eventually figured out that the problem was Firefox's Enhanced Privacy Tracking. Disabled that and things went back to normal.
Moral of the story? Only good ad blocking is uBlock Origin. There's a reason it has been #1 for a decade.

Apparently episode 2 of 16-bit sensation was written by the guy who wrote Kizuato and Shizuku, which were both incredibly influential PC-98 games. Kizuato basically inspired Tsukihime, and Shizuku is the forefather of the denpa genre (Higurashi and Chaos;head being probably the most well known of the genre- basically the world gets more and more fucked up but only the main character perceives it). That's fuckin cool.
I am really into all of the programming references that you can see throught. They're making games for PC-98 and the programmer is using x86 assembly on what I'm assuming is MS-DOS. My knowledge of video game source code at the time (basically just the Gen 1 Pokemon games) and that is very similar in style to their development environments at the time (which makes sense as Gen 1 was developed in the early 90s). Also the OP is 65435 which is the maximum value you can store in an unsigned 16-bit integer (hence referencing the show and the 16-bit where the show is taking place).

16-bit sensation vibes with me on multiple layers. This is a time travel anime about vintage game dev where the main character is a bishojo otaku artist sent back to 1992 where the main programmer is programming a PC98 in x86 assembly.

Wasn't released through Subs Please so it might get the Komi-san S2 treatment (aka I will probably not watch it). Shame because it has been on my manga to read list for a while.
I actually watched Crunchyroll TV For a few hours today. Caught the start of Deca-Dence and some weird Policy Comedy/Drama thing. Honestly both of them weren't that bad and I might watch the station in the mornings but I might get annoyed very quickly when I miss an episode or two (which is the issue with TV). Honestly, if I actually had any paid subscription services I'd probably watch some less serious dubbed anime while I worked.

My current drop candidates are ragna crimson, demon excalibur, and our dating story. Already dropped guard dog (what an unpleasant show).
The only genre I outright dislike is fantasy but that extends into other media as well.

It's crazy because the PS3 has a much larger library and its digital store is still available. It's not a piracy thing either because the PS3 store is heavily exploited by pirates.

I don't have the answers but I know enough that the people claiming they have the answers do not. I also know that people who want to solve a problem are usually solving the wrong problem, or they're trying to solve a problem that's so hopelessly beyond them that it's annoying to explain to them why that problem is difficult to solve (also they call you an idiot if you try and explain). My whole thing now is to try and learn more just so I can talk about this more.

But I've worked with VHDL and FPGAs before as well. Honestly cool story around that was when I had my college VHDL professor as a boss for a few years. I didn't even make the connection until years after I was hired at that company.

A lot of Computer Science things are incredibly transferable unless you're stuck in webdev hell or are using very specific proprietary technologies, however Cybersecurity is not really an extremely specific topic within computer science that people need to invest a lot of time in to understand. Other examples would be things like AI (remember people have a very bad understanding of what AI is).

Also I literally don't care. You are not qualified to know what is and isn't secure or what data is and isn't being sent wherever you think it is being sent. People who do work in these fields likely don't know either, but are more than likely more informed than you are. No, reading random articles on the internet does not make you informed about this subject, and once again I really want to reiterate, I don't care about your opinions.

I'd be interested in people naming who they think are populists though. I don't consider them to be different from typical fare, even though they brand themselves as 'alternative'.
Trump is a modern example of one pandering for Republican votes and Sanders is a modern example of one pandering for Democrat votes. Platforms are almost always based on trying to appeal to low-information voters by suggesting extremely unrealistic policies. The also tend to be Firebrands, overly aggressive to try and get their bases emotional.
