Nah, he's made more good movies than bad but he's just behind on the times. The man is almost 90 years old.

Also, i hate Prometheus as an Alien film but as a sci fi film i think it could stand on its own. Despite some flaws the concept is great and its a beautifully shot movie with some great performances.

It just falls apart trying to tie into alien

I dont want to see the A's leave oakland but the Coliseum was a dump. Ive been there for raiders games and its the worst stadium ive ever been to in my life.

Immediately revisit the scope management plan and get a business analyst involved to help determine requirements. From there, you could have interviewed key stakeholders to ensure what they wanted out of the project was well documented and feasible . Adjust the schedule. Adjust the budget, and get to work.

If you landed with a running start without a real plan to get the project back on track, you kinda let yourself walk into a trap.

It doesnt appear to be targeted at you. But asking for a raise prior to exhibiting measurable results was not the way to go.

None of that was my job as i said i wasnt in charge of the project or team. I was merely a worker bee on it.

It was one of the best movies the MCU put out.

I dont care about spiderman stuff without spiderman.

Whether its Peter, Miles, Gwen, Miguel or even Ben Reilly.

Madame Web doesnt need her own movie and should be a side character in whatever the next spider verse movie is.

No, funny thing actually. They tried to tempt people back to the office last year with a taco truck. Pretty much to see if they could get a lot of people in the office for lunch they could justify people coming back in permanently.

Everyone told them to fuck off and we liked working from home. Now they just told everyone too bad and we're coming back despite them not having the space for a lot of people

I liked the Idris Elba suicide squad a lot too. We've had good supes content.

Also, to give more context on how half assed certain things are. They are ending our work from home and some offices were closed in the meantime.

So instead of buying office space they are going to cram people into warehouses that we ship things from.

So youre gonna have customer service and office people working out of warehouses in improvised desks. This isnt some small start up either. Its a billion dollar company

My reasoning was that we are being asked to do the work of 4 departments with less than a quarter of the staff. Its not feasible and i felt that if we have to improve our skillset by such a degree we should be compensated for it.

I've never worked for a company that did something like this that didnt compensate the employees in some way. I essentially did the same thing at my last job and even if the raise wasnt immediate we were compensated after it was up and running.

I know my value and im not going to be punished for some ego trip from an executive.

We weren't even underperforming though. They thought this would streamline things but if you're trying to create a department that is taking work from other departments and rumors within that it's going to lead to a loss of your department roadblocks start to happen.

It was essentially other departments not giving us the resources we needed to be successful because it was not in their best interest to do so. The guy who's idea it was thought it would be all good and that it would all gel but that's not what it was.

When their solutions were essentially giving us 4 times the workload I brought up we should be compensated for it. Maybe it wasn't the smartest thing to do but with more context, the boss is notorious for piling on work without any type of compensation or even acknowledgment. Another project they did was successful and supposed to get free lunch and they didn't even do that for them.

The boss of our whole region has wanted to create this department forever and it kept getting denied for being unreasonable and they finally approved it and all its doing is showing them that they were right the whole time. The guy is scrambling because all his ideas have been pretty shitty

A lot of people were. Skyrim was a buggy mess at launch but iirc the GECK was released within months so you were getting mods super early.

Starfield probably wont get a creation kit until somewhere in 2024. The community cant fix the game this time.

I mean, i enjoyed Starfield and i thought it kinda combined all the Bethesda games together in 1 and was probably Bethesda's best game overall but it still had a ton of flaws and got boring quickly.

The Bethesda formula is just so old and tiring now.

At my job they had me working on a special project essentially to create a new department. From the start it felt halfcocked and no one really knew what they are doing. So it didnt hit the ground running like they thought it would.

My boss who was put in charge of it didnt know how to fix it and so we had a meeting with her boss and the boss above that lady. They asked for honest opinions and started attacking us on the team for it not working despite it being flawed at every step of the way.

They asked for opinions on what can improve to make everything run smoother. I said that we need better communication and that everyone is all over the place because we're getting different instructions on both sides. I also mentioned that we should be getting raises because we're doing the work of 4 other departments now.

I clock in today and i get a call because im being pulled from the team because my "work isnt what they are looking for on the project". I asked for examples on what i did wrong or i could do better next time to improve my work. Everyone kinda passed the buck and finally my boss said "Well there's no specific example of what you did wrong they just knew they didnt want you on the project but it doesnt mean they might not put you back on it"

I feel like it was retaliation for defending the team and asking for raises

Yeah it'll probably run anything right now *fine*. I just wonder if PS5 ports are going to get better or worse in the future about managing VRAM as the general PC market starts adopting 16 GB vram cards.

If its a console port it'll probably follow the trend of running like shit.

Also, he's coming from console he probably wont even notice a performance issue. Every time there's a Console vs PC topic on here the console people say they dont care about higher FPS. He'll be able to run most games on high at about 50-60 FPS and he'll be fine.

As far as I've seen it's just not a good year to buy GPUs, in part because of this PS5 huge amount of vram shock. So TC might wanna wait for next year if the GTX 5000 series or whatever comes out then

A prebuilt with a 5000 series will probably run 1500-2500.

This is a good deal and TC has already said he doesnt mind it being not the top percentage of performance. Its a good starter PC for the price and it will be leagues above a PS4 and a PS5. TC is fine with that build.

Didn't he get suspended for an entire season? That's certainly some form of punishment laid down by the NFL. If you think that's not a harsh enough punishment that's a fair opinion, but you can't say the NFL did nothing.

not technically, when the allegations first dropped they put him on the non injured list. So he wasnt playing but he was getting paid iirc

then when he got traded to the browns the NFL suspended him for 11 games so not even a full season.

HL was a pretty good game. The combat was fun, the game looked great, and i really liked exploring Hogwarts.

But the story was kinda meh and outside of Hogwarts and the other little town the world felt kinda empty. I wouldn't call it mid but I wouldn't call it GOTY caliber either. There's really only 3 games i would consider GOTY though. BG3, TOTK, and Dead Space.

If it counted though i would give it to Phantom Liberty because that has been my favorite gaming experience of all 2023 so far next to Lethal Company.

then on sunday i went to Korean BBQ and drinks for a friends birthday and came home and watched Only Murders in the building with my gf

I feel like there were more "normal" people here and they've all left. Now it feels like every time I log in I just see the same topics over and over.

I'm in my early 30's and whenever i come here and see other people in their mid 30's+ whining about the sexual attractiveness of an anime character it makes me sad and my posting becomes more combative and cynical. Oh look its THIS topic again. A bunch of horny nerds complaining about one aspect of their lives not revolving around sex. Its not like you can just google search the character to be drawn in 1000 different styles of sex but it has to be bombarded over every thing in the game as well.

I liked it but i read she hulk comics growing up so i felt like the show was around the same type of character she was in the comics.
