You can Future Connected play it right away, I liked it but general reactions are middling I think. It's definitely not on Torna's level as far as DLC extra stories go.

just being on the originally cut bionis shoulder is already a dream come true for me though since I played that hacked map ages before XB:DE was announced

this is 100% not the case at all, the core is absolutely the main plotline whereas the sidequests are just worldbuilding among different communities throughout the world

... not to damper Torna but that game would be much more apt for that description, but it's a much shorter piecemeal game - less quantity of sidequests and better quality ratio (although not perfect)

ehhhh XB2 does have a separate main story but the end chapters very strongly connect it to the first

as a XB1 fan playing XB2 that stuff got me mad hype, and it's hard to imagine XB3 not continuing off of that

X on the otherhand yeah it's pretty much entirely separate, not counting the XB2 DLC that I can't imagine being canon

this isn't really true at all? like yeah there are lots of quests but you don't at all have to do them and most are passive auto-complete stuff. If you do all the sidequests you will be wildly overleveled for the main game anyways.

I personally enjoyed the sidequests because the world building is great (always love a Majora's Mask Bombers Notebook system), but I don't think it would be up your alley and as such you can skip it

I wasn't ready to join the mod hate from their debut but this episode really bothered me how they just continue to be pushy brats

I'm all for language evolves arguments and if Search Action catches on then sure... but I don't see it happening because Metroidvania works just as well and has already been established as such for decades - the only argument against it is it's not descriptive which frankly is a stronger argument against "Search Action". At least Metroidvania gives you a reference to what kind of game it is, and if you don't know you'll have to explain in either case anyways.

if you tell someone about some Search Action game that's really cool they're gonna respond "what the heck does that mean" and then you either compare it to another game (Metroid) or explain in fuller detail, likely such as an action-adventure game you explore and gradually find tools and power-ups that help you progress further

the 30 years distance between RotJ & TFA has at least given me hope we still have a few years to do cool things... although practically the Jedi Temple is destroyed 6 years before TFA and Mando's already 5 years after RotJ... so that gives us 19 years to play with.... ehhhhhhh :(

I do like how competent Pykes appear to be here though unlike any other appearance despite hearing their name hyped up but always getting clowned. Also holy shit Cad Bane's live action debut is absolute perfection

oh yeah I was also real hyped about the revelation Grogu was at the Jedi Temple during Order 66
