Agreed. Sadly, it seems the "standard" way to gatekeep you, rather than just letting the natural powerscaling keep you back. I guess it is at the start, so they don't want people to reach the end of what they have.

I will say Nikke has a lot of problems, probably too many for justify paying for at all or to even keep playing at a long extent, but the gameplay is definitely better than what some people will give credit for, esp outside the tutorial. It's pretty deep and the boss designs have been great, but the roster is excessively weak thus far, with SRs outside Rapi being pretty weak.

Eh, this is just true of most idle games I've found. The SR's are worthless and not used outside of your initial start.

Am enjoying the gameplay though, for sure.

But god that stat differential is so comically excessive. I think after experiments, people have concluded that 25% is the floor, and depending on further power level differences, 90% stat drop is maximum, which is honestly fucking ridiculous.

It's crap, but Nikke is far from the only game, or even gacha to do it. Will always criticise it though, and noted it in their survey that it's a load of crap. Just let people push as far as they can, even with an underpowered team.

This is not surprising. Ys (Falcom's game) does this, too.

Underleveled, you get smacked hard.
Get even, the game becomes fun again.
Overleveled even one level, you starts to wonder what the hell the calculation behind the scene is.

Yup, been shown if you even a smidge underleveled your units get nerfed to about 70% power. But think that isn't that rare in idle games, still a load of nonsense though.

Ch 5 was definitely not as hard as some people were saying. I had to try the last boss 2 times because I wasn't sure what to expect, but the boss is exceedingly weak to short ranged units, and the game explicitly tells you this on the prep screen by slapping a 100% on short range.

I have to wonder if people uhh... just look at the tier list and just run headfirst with a dumb comp. You can level normalize in this game, which makes it easy to use more than 5 units in your cycle.

Same tbh. I just had to wait a day to level up so I matched the power level and it was fine.

Yeah, I don't fault those who are dropping Nikke.

Personally, I am enjoying the game and am currently willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, due to enjoying their other game. But this one definitely is stingy, even if it does seem typical to other idle games in many regards.

It has fun gameplay, a decent enough story and good VA for the most part. Just a shame that they are failing in other regards and do hope they can fix it as could have something pretty good if they can.

Genuinely baffles me they are making bad choices when they do the exact opposite in their other gacha game. Wonder how much comes from the publisher, or just them not having the same people overseeing and telling them a better way to do it.

Definitely do think it's a game that would be easier with a mouse though, for certain. It does have auto battle, which seems to work alright so far in story levels - no idea bout bosses or raid/whatever stuff though.

How did anyone's Irene/Spectre Alter pulls go, if you went for them?

I did surprisingly well, if off to a terrible start - got a 6* in the free 10 pulls. A dupe fucking Mostima. Woulda been less insulted if I got 10 Spots. It got far better though thankfully.

2 10 pulls after, get 2 Irene's,
2 more ten pulls to get Spectre Alt

So pretty good, despite the terrible start.

Guess this means getting fuck all in Nikke shortly though >.>

Yup. All the more reason to not go through with censorship. People will be expecting DC/Azur Lane level stuff and will leave without it.

Less rewards = super dumb.

DC doesn't have that even, so not sure why they want to bring that into Nikke. Hopefully the KR and JP fans complaining can get them to actually change things, as they are perfectly capable of doing good things, as seen by changes they've made to DC (plus the lewdness)

They really do seem to be doing their best to self sabotage. No idea why they want the kid market, it's the whales that bring in the big bucks, not f2p people. Give them the lewd and they will splurge!

Worked fine for me. Downloaded and then did the preload with no issues.

Considering that Yostar themselves are the ones making the anime, I would guess that if they plan to dub it, they would get the same voices as the game and have plenty of gacha whale money available to pay them.

And true on the voices, but I'm fine if it's just dubbed. The VA's are all pretty great so far.

Watched the 1st episode in the Arknights anime. Was very good, so got high hopes for the rest of it.

Do wonder if it will get dubbed, with the EN voices for the game they have, but probably be too big a cost I imagine to start with.

Although seeing Ace again, given what is gonna happen soon, is sad :(

Big things coming in Arknights in the 3.5 year CN anniversary. Spoilers all over the subreddit if you want to see who the new alter, new units and collab is with.

Plus will now be allowed to use alters with the original unit seems. Finally OG Chen and Skadi can be used!

Plus the anime releases any day now. Will be interesting to see how well it does/they do as seems they are doing the early stuff up to episode 3 from the very first chapter?

Was fantastic, yeah. Hopefully will get more in the future now.

I may have been wrong about one thing in my Nikke post. A gameplay trailer was released today and in it there are coats covering asses, so if they are the assets found in the last CBT (I was never in any of the CBTs so I have no idea) then I was wrong and they have now been shown elsewhere. Apparently they also removed jiggle physics in that trailer.

Basically says they have no plans of censorship. But who knows if that's actually true or the person responding actually knows. I do suspect that is just their advertising that is censored, much like Destiny Child, as someone in the reddit thread said. But guess we'll see. Yeah I liked CS but I think there were a lot of patterns that I wouldn't like it in the long run, so I quit asap to end on a good note. I'm definitely not bitter towards the game whatsoever, but I don't have an interest since my worries seem to have been justified.

Same. Does make me wish I quit priconnect sooner rather than leave on a bitter note of frustrated pulls after frustrated pulls, but oh well. Still enjoyed it ultimately.

Agreed. Pigs are actually capable of kindness and affection so shouldn't be lumped in with something so terrible.

The police don't have to care and won't care when they can blame the potential criminal for anyone they actively and intentionally murder.
