Is Tomo any good?

Tomo is outclassed by some other physical attackers (both Makotos, Christina, Muimi, Eriko, Djeeta) but is still pretty good for clan battles in her own right, especially after getting her UE. You'll need enough attackers to fill out two physical teams anyways (maybe three if you don't have Neneka and enough good mages for a full magic team) and Tomo is a solid choice for that, especially if you're missing any of the physical attackers I mentioned above. She's also another solid body to throw at the Tower Of Luna or big dungeon bosses, but she's pretty much useless for the PvP arenas.

Disagree with Tomo being outclassed by Djeeta or both Makotos. Djeeta and regular Makoto have their team spots for their utility, not their personal damage, Tomo isn't really competing with either of them for her team spot, and would prefer to be on a team with them instead. IIRC Tomo's personal damage is better than either of them, for now at least.

S!Makoto is only better when there is exactly one target. Any more targets means Tomo is better, even without UE.

Muimi's the best comparison, as both are cleave DPS with good ST damage at this point. Generally I wouldn't consider Muimi outclassing Tomo though, as they're pretty comparable. Tomo has slightly more range, and her cleave damage is more consistent, while Muimi only cleaves during her UB window. I think Muimi has better ST DPS between the two, which is why she is generally better.

Reviewing what I posted earlier, I for some reason put Tomo's role backwards (which probably means I shouldn't post evaluations late at night). She's a good cleave DPS unit, with decent ST damage, not ST DPS with decent cleave. She's still not meta-defining, but is good enough to see use in the current PvE meta when her niche comes up.

I'm close to being able to 5* Tomo, but I built a few characters in a row and good lord did my mana disappear.

I'm quitting CounterSide. I actually like the game but I'm so bad at it I can't seem to do even some of the most basic missions and it's starting to make me really frustrated. I wish this game was easier to understand. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Im tempted to quit CS too, since War of the Visions and Epic Seven take quite a bit of time already. But Im dying to know what that collab is. Kinda sad that its not gonna be Guilty Gear or Code Geass though :<

Forgot that GT Switch released yesterday. Luckily, I was able to get Tinia in 3 multis and still have a stash leftover. I actually pulled 3 of her, which I'm assuming is useless?

You got 100 HCs which aren't useless but no special benefit otherwise.

What are they used for? If anything like Priconne, then I assume trading for character specific shards for starring up.

I got Lapice, who I never pulled in my mobile account. Honestly though, not really encouraged to play when there are more than half the roster missing and more than half the story, a lot of which are the best parts of the entire experience.

Also they still require like a little over a thousand crystals to max a hero. That is easily my least favorite aspect of this game. They have so much content to work with, so there was no need to keep this dumb mechanic in. At least reduce it by half. Not too optimistic about this version

HCs are for limit breaks. You need 700 total to increase a 3 character's level limit by +5.

They added a feature where the first 100 stamina you spend a day on the evolution stones gives triple drops so in a sense they reduced it by more than half if you're patient.

Thats the exact reason I quit it too. Twice. Once with SEA and once with Global lol. Its kinda funny and really sucks that the 2 gachas Ive liked the most, CS and GFL, are both ones Ive had to quit because I suck too much at them.

Still haven't decided whether to use 3 + 1 rolls for Elazul/Blackpearl, but getting a Dryad character is pretty handy.
OTOH I'm waiting for Bud/Lisa that surely will appear shortly due to LoM anime.

Yeah I liked CS but I think there were a lot of patterns that I wouldn't like it in the long run, so I quit asap to end on a good note. I'm definitely not bitter towards the game whatsoever, but I don't have an interest since my worries seem to have been justified.

Honestly I don't think I'll play the Switch GT. I'm not really feeling the start over, sad to say. I do wish my friend tried it, but there's a really distinct mobile smell to the game right now, and it would've been easy to remedy a lot of it

Same. Does make me wish I quit priconnect sooner rather than leave on a bitter note of frustrated pulls after frustrated pulls, but oh well. Still enjoyed it ultimately.

Put 40 pulls (30 paid + 10 free) in Elazul + Blackpearl banner.

Got the memory gem and 4* Julius instead smh

The days of me not having a potent Dryad (and Luna) aligned character continues.

I guess I'll just save 8k for Bud and Lisa....

Wasnt the case for me. I started either shortly before or during Winter Assault (I think thats what it was called) and couldnt finish it. I wasnt surprised since I was just starting. Other events came and went and I was disappointed I couldnt finish all them, but I carried on thinking Id eventually be able to. I most likely hit a roadblock in the normal chapters too, but I dont remember where. Then the Winter Assault was rerun and while I was able to make it farther, I still wasnt able to make it all the way through. I played all that time and still wasnt able to finish the first event I played. Thats what made me realize Im too bad at GFL. Ive had to fight the urge to try again ever since.

Arctic Warfare was legit fun....and tiresome.

Oh, right it was called Arctic Warfare not Winter Assault. It was just was so demoralizing to play for a year or whatever and still not be able to complete an event.

I got too fed up with how events always had maps that you absolutely NEED to either have a guide or just do trial and error. Like you dont know that enemies will spawn on a certain turn or move in a certain pattern :<

Later maps (not just event maps) have it easier because enemies have movement logic dictated and for those, they have indicators of where they will move.

Like patrol logic always move in specific pattern unless you intentionally stand next to them.

They also are mostly done with obscure shenanigans.

The harder map is actually puzzle maps, becauae you do need to use your brain and no amount of firepower can change that.

For me it was more that they absolutely slaughtered my squads. I could never kite properly. Either my SMGs took too much damage because I didn't move them soon enough or my backline was massacred because I retreated the SMGs too soon.

Ah, can't fault you for that. For some that is a skill issue. Fortunately we can freeze-kite now.

Also some of the later enemies actually punish you for retreating the SMGs that you must use them to soak damage else your fragile backrows die, or enemies with longer range are out of your backrows' range if you move forward early. Some MODs encourage this notion, particularly RO's.

Or just straight pierces through them in straight line that it doesn't matter.

What are the best values in GT if I'm looking to spend a little? I assume the battle pass is up there, anything else?

Monthly 100 gem pack is by far the best and daily 100 coffee is second best. Check the promotional packs as well. They're usually overpriced though even if they have a good value. If there's a 500 coffee pack you should consider it.

The game supports Google Play Points coupons as well.

I still haven't installed. Is rerolling a thing?

On that note, Jewel Princess Reincarnation went up yesterday and has a tutorial reroll... but this ReDive now expects you to get more copies of each SSR, and the gameplay's turned into something like AFK Arena, or something.

There's a button to delete your account. Rerolling was also always possible in mobile.

Nononononononononononono JPR is giving me some major Idle Huntress PTSD. That was the absolute whale-iest whalefest I've ever seen short of Diablo Immortal. That 5,000 diamond banner for a blatantly OP character like Thor might as well have "PAY TO WIN" stamped on it.

I mean I saw very little gameplay from the short trailer that I could find, but it looks basically like IH but the fights aren't half-assed. At least have actual cutscenes.

Apparently it's a HUGE pain to reroll on the Switch. I didn't have to luckily but I probably wouldn't have even attempted it either way. They at least give a good amount of pulls to start out. I think it was around 4-5 multis and then we've been getting free daily multis as well.

Got 3 4* characters, 2 of them Blackpearl (Lumina) lmao. What the hell.

Legeclo anniversary... is happening after Halloween 2.

Halloween 2 is Medjed (free, and without the hood, thankfully), Cu, and Sol.

Anniversary (I assume part 1, if the half-anniversary was anything to go by) is formal dresses of Jeanne yet again (free), Siegfried, and Michael.

Four versions of Jeanne/Michael in a year is pretty fucking overkill. That's OG, New Year, summer, and now anniversary/formal dress alts.

Other than that, a large portion of the anniversary stream was discussing the rankings of h-scenes (nothing particularly noteworthy, but few lolis except random Benkei and Tsukuyomi scene, the latter presumably because of dat ass), a new PV, and all the usual anniversary free rolls and gacha reruns. Also a free SSR pick.

The servers of the (Japanese-only) Yuki Yuna Is A Hero gacha game are shutting down later this month and it's getting an offline version... but the offline version is releasing for consoles instead of on mobile devices where the original gacha version of the game was, complete with a graphics upgrade and an exclusive new story just for this console version. That's actually really cool. It's most likely still Japanese only, but if by some miracle they also decided to localize this version into English, I would definitely consider playing it.

I've heard of gacha games getting console versions, but it's usually just a port of the same version that's already on mobile. The only gacha game I know of that got a console version that was offline and removed the gacha aspect was BanG Dream Girls Band Party, but the mobile gacha version still existed alongside it. A console version after the mobile version shuts down is something new.

Yes and no.

Only one version this time, unlike Destiny Child, and seems might indeed be censored. And no easy uncensor patch either if only one version.

We will have to see how the censoring is, as with DC it was either fine, made them more lewd (with sheer clothing) or baffling as far worse gets left uncensored.

So I dont think it is really anything to be worried over tbh.
