Also, speaking of anniversaries: Revue Starlight ReLive hit 4 years in JP and (perhaps more shockingly) 3.5 years in global this week. Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy that it's still around. I'm just surprised that such a niche game has survived so long.

Tbf GFL anime is made without (or barely) any input from main Sunborn branch lol.

But we GFL fans are always on suicide watch whenever other gachas gets a much better anime adapt.

If I were to rank all of the "gacha game adaptation" anime I've watched (regardless of whether I've played the game they're adapting or not):

Princess Connect ReDive > Magia Record > Last Period > Hortensia Saga > Girls' Frontline > Cinderella Nine > Azur Lane

I also have Granblue Fantasy's anime on my plan-to-watch list. Note that this is not counting original anime that set up future gacha games, like BanG Dream, Revue Starlight, Takt Op Destiny, etc., because I consider those to be a completely different category.

I personally liked Azur Lane Slow Ahead.

I did too, but I was only counting the "main" anime that were actually adapting (at least loosely) the story of the games and not spin-offs like that. Girls Frontline's Healing Chapter and Madness Chapter chibi shorts were hilarious too.

I just finished the last of my interlude backlog myself. Currently at 181 interludes and 122 rank ups.

I'm only at 144 interludes or so. But I have some 20 interludes and 10 rank-ups unfinished, since I don't trust myself to not use that SQ before Melusine.

Currently only have 100 SQ or so in the stockpile, and I'll probably be dipping into that for Van Gogh in... two weeks?

Nothing unexpected, given that we're kind of a month ahead of JP schedule. The most important thing to note is that this likely means NY!Karyl will be an early to mid December banner unless they do something to delay it (like extending the X!Illya banner that will be after the X!Chika/X!Ayane rerun).

I know NY Karyl is game-breakingly great and should take priority above all else, but is anything else in this batch before her worth bothering with? Any of the new characters, UE's, or Io's 6* upgrade?

Neither of the Christmas cakes are particularly meta defining. X!Christina is good for about 1 CB, and after that her biggest draw is more stats for regular Christina. X!Ilya is a ST magic attacker, but she still self-damages (though I think it can't crit her this time), she's a permanent unit, and she'll be overshadowed very quickly by NY!Karyl. Should have free daily pulls on X!Ilya and NY!Karyl Prifest banners though (assuming we keep following JP schedule).

X!Nozomi is bad. I'll probably push the event for her shards anyways because it's Nozomi, but she's bad.

Out of the new UEs, only X!Ayane is particularly good for CB, but overall it just makes her into a good physical attacker, not an overwhelming one. X!Kurumi is mostly a very niche PVP unit, though if you plan to use her she kind of needs her UE for her first skill to be very useful. X!Chika is useful for looping, but that requires a lot of research and planning for manual CB play, and you don't want to equip her UE if you plan to use her for CB loops.

6!Io is good in PVP (a really good disruptor, probably meta-defining for some time actually). Not a big deal otherwise.

All right, thanks for the info. Sounds like I can skip pulling until NY Karyl arrives. If I happen to get Xmas Ilya from the free pulls, I might raise her and throw her on a magic team for CB, but I won't actively pull for her.

Cano M91/38. This is a must and cannot be negotiated.

Then...the other one is pretty much whatever.

MGs are expensive to make so it is a good choice to have; PKP is quite a powerhouse, and RPK-16 breaks convention by being able to act as AR when her mag is empty.
However they are expensive to field so it's not really a good choice early.

AN-94 and G11 are wonderful ARs, while HK416 is another powerhouse that is also decent at shooting (when you upgrade her to MOD 1 at least).

Hold up. Brave Nine's patch notes says they're improving the stamina gain... but it says that they're taking out auto gain, and instead just giving you your max amount at the start of the day. But here's the thing... the max amount for the highest level is 300. The game normally gives 1 stamina per 4 minutes, meaning 360 per day.

Nope, no mistake. Brave Nine is now the first gacha I've ever played where your stamina doesn't recharge over time <_<

Oh, EoM also updated quests that give free upgraded weapon as you raise weapon skill levels.

Very nice, considering they (maybe) start to move from weapons as ranking reward to EP for character trading.

Sucks though that you have to score Top 5 to get enough for the character.

I'm already glad I pulled for Kaya in PriConne. I mentioned her being an "overflow specialist" for CB (where she's great for times where you can inflict the final blow on a boss and your remaining time left overflows to the next one) because of how her UB works, and that situation has come up for me on both days of this month's CB so far. On the first day, I was so excited to try her out when I saw the situation was right that I actually forgot to set a support unit for that battle (oops!) and went in with only four characters, but on the second day I set my support character correctly and ended up doing the most damage I've ever done in a single CB attempt by far: 4.37 million to finish one boss, 2.47 million in the overflow time to the next one, for a total of 6.84 million damage.

I just set Kaya as my CB support character if anyone else in our clan is in a similar "overflow" situation with a boss on low health and wants to take advantage. I know a few of you are also here, can't remember how many though.

I gather you can demolish dorms? I have no reason to of course, but last night I was able to get 15 batteries from one of the few people to accept a friend request. Today I got 14 from them.

No, dorm you unlock, not demolish.
You start with 2 and then you can buy more (tbh after 4 or 5 dorms it's not effective to buy more, kind of).

The battery you got by stealing from others depends on the number of dorm they have, 1 for each (so max 14).

While Vector sure is nice, actual tanks have more lasting prospect, especially later enemies just have too much HP for molotovs; at that point HK416 MOD starts to be more potent.

No, what I mean is I got 15 from one specific person yesterday and today got 14 from them so I figured they went from 15 dorms to 14. If 14 is the max, I wonder how I got 15 from them then.

Speaking of friends, is the Discord a better place to find some? The Reddit thread only has a few (and the previous one only had one person), and everyone that shows up in the ingame suggestions either last logged in days ago or has the default 2 HG support echelon.

I quit Brave Nine again. I don't remember what caused me to quit the first time, but this time it was them removing stamina refill and the fact that I found out that they have NFT shit in the game <_<

This talk of GFL is intensifying my urge to come back for some reason, especially since I'm not playing anything else. Not sure I'd want to get hit by all these new systems introduced since I quit all at once though. I barely started fairies and now I'd have to look into whatever forward base, coalition, and HOC are plus whatever else was added in the years since I played. Maybe I should just start a fresh account and get introduced to them as they come up since I'd basically have to relearn everything else anyway.

We have another story event taking place at the beginning of November and a major client update is scheduled for December that makes the game perform a lot better than before (faster loading, smoother battles, etc.).

If you want to catch up on the story you've missed, I've seen videos on YT that archived it for easy viewing. I usually recommend that to people who like the story but aren't so big on playing it for one reason or another.

Well Im happy and sad. Happy that I got Veronica from the free daily. Sad that Path to Nowhere is anti-reroll. I was looking forward to another Arknights style game, especially since they let you move units after you place them. But when a game is reroll-unfriendly, I skip.

Watched the 1st episode in the Arknights anime. Was very good, so got high hopes for the rest of it.

Do wonder if it will get dubbed, with the EN voices for the game they have, but probably be too big a cost I imagine to start with.

Although seeing Ace again, given what is gonna happen soon, is sad :(

Considering that Yostar themselves are the ones making the anime, I would guess that if they plan to dub it, they would get the same voices as the game and have plenty of gacha whale money available to pay them.

And true on the voices, but I'm fine if it's just dubbed. The VA's are all pretty great so far.

A word of warning about PGR's upcoming 100% banner on November 2nd: Once you make your choice about which Construct gets the rate-up, it's locked in and you cannot change your selection afterward! You can make different selections for the 60 pity and floating pity versions but that's it.

Also, pity does not carry over to this banner nor from this banner to anything else.

Third, please keep in mind that the banner isn't far from Vera's new lightning frame debut.

All of this makes this more of a limited anniversary type banner than a full anniversary type banner.
