It works if you turn off the hide ignored quotes settings. By default it is set to yes. Feature is broken as it will hide people who quote your blockers.

I guess it doesn't count if I remove someone who got banned.

The system automatically moves closed and banned accounts to your ignore list. It also clears any banned and closed accounts from community board lists.

This is like asking someone to please turn off the adblocker. I have spam accounts blocked and the message boards are nearly unusable without those users blocked.

For everyone else, I just tag them, and when their message matches their tag, I know I can disregard their opinion.

Only people with strong egos have something to defend (Hi, Trump). Otherwise, when a person has lost their ego, they are limitless, free from insults. I don't say free from suffering or dissatisfaction, because people with little to no ego will certainly still feel dissatisfaction. However, these people will not be easily insulted. They will not be possessive of temporary emotions because, in fact, they are just that.. temporary.

On the flip side, we should also maintain internal peace when alone while also exhibiting peace externally while enjoying another person's company or while in public. This could certainly extend to message boards. This can certainly refer to wanting to remove negative influences/users/energy from your message board experience. I can totally understand this. One should protect his or her peace. I get it!

Lastly, though, in order to achieve this, we should first go inward and ask why do we cling to this pain? And if there's not a good reason, one should consider unblocking a person. It is the first step to letting go of unnecessary suffering. If it turns out to be a bad idea, no problem. Just click "block user". But in order to do that, you must stop being afraid, and possessive over emotions and past trauma. The block button is always there...always available. But your ability to investigate your personal suffering is available too. You have simply chosen the easier option. Try the harder option... as its benefits will extend far beyond just a message board... It will extend into your real life relationships with face-to-face people.
