Youre trying to add or change without understanding issues surrounding it. Note, the show did the cant trust outsiders plot point in the first episode and had him learn from it.

Could they link those together and make it a continuous arc? Instead of getting over his xenophobia in the first episode and his sexism in another, could distrust for outsiders be an interconnected story across multiple episodes?

The point of the show is that sinners and demons can be redeemed, so I think they would care.

Well, she never called to me anyway. If I were to go for a demon -- like the actual Satanic variety and not the Japanese folklore or ambiguous ghoul world variety -- it would probably be Loona.

As a Christian, I would never willingly allow myself to fall for someone with an upside down pentagram on her chest. But I also know that I've fallen to every temptation I ever had, so it may also be a matter of time.

Starting off, insecurity is the part of it but its not main reason why. Hes sexist because his culture is kinda sexist. When the gets to their sister tribe one of things we learn are woman were not trained to be fighters and female waterbenders were taught solely healing.

Next, if youre adding additional elements youre shooting yourself in the foot especially since that wouldnt have time to go into those. Note the comment about the change suggested they wanted to focus on other aspects with the issue being its unclear what theyre doing with that.

His culture doesn't like foreigners. He thinks he's stronger than them because they're foreigners.

When he learns from them and wears their garb, it's cultural enrichment and overcoming nationalism -- which is slightly less offensive than sexism and has the handwave of no one in the audience actually belonging to the fictional nations in the story.

Again, I'm talking about a show that I haven't seen. There could be very intimate details about that I don't know about as to why sexism and only sexism can fill that gap. But I think Netflix would rather hurt the integrity of the storytelling and play it safe than to have any suspect content; even if it's done for a good cause.

Unless you know something we dont, that wont work. Sokka was the only warrior in his tribe due to all of the men going off to fight and had no actual combat experience. From what I remember he got his butt handed to him by Zuko during their first encounter.

They could change that too. He goes from being the only warrior to the best warrior. A teen who can outfight the men can surely see himself as able to outfight women. As for his insecurity, and why he has it, that too would some sort of substitution plot. Without having watched the show, I couldn't volunteer one. If I said that his older brother was always the better fighter, that might ignore him being an orphan.

It's sort of like telling a lie. You sometimes have to come up with the second, third, and fourth lie to create the scenario in which the first lie could be a truth.

From what I gather in this topic, he's sexist because he's insecure. If they go back to why he's insecure, they could take a different path at the crossroads. It won't have the same significance as learning respect for others (and by extension learning self-respect), but I'm willing to believe there are other places that they could take his story arc.

I love SNES Star Fox to death but the way your actions determine which path you take makes 64 the better game, it adds soooo much to the replayability factor.

It does a good job of simulating what it feels like to be a part of a team / group of friends too. I never really thought about it before, but it's an amazing how much audio they were able to fit on a cartridge.

They really dumbed it down and made it kiddy compared to the SNES original Star Fox, but that's probably because they made the original SF a bit too hard for younger players.

It's probably because the N64 game is much larger and has an interactive narrative which adds to the replay value. If you lose this battle, you move onto a different path. If you help this ally, they'll show up in the next stage to aid you.

The SNES game has three pre-set paths with increased difficulty. It's the same experience each time.

I even loved the animated stuff like Muppet Babies cartoon that he was involved in. Then of course you have all the movies and the wonderful stuff there like in this topic.

The guy was gone too young. He still had genius left in him. Hell he was only about 5 years older than I am now.

Yeah. He was gone by 1993, but his production company was still around.

I don't think I'm going to vote.

It goes against my principles to not vote, but I live in a hopelessly red state and I don't feel like voting for Biden as a protest vote -- not when he's condoning the genocide in Gazza.

I know that Trump will continue to support Netanyahu and hurt far more people than what Biden would. But, again, it's only a protest vote for me since I'm an Indiana resident. If I'm simply going to be screaming at a brick wall, I'm not going to be screaming Joe Biden's name. I'm going to stay home.

Israel has a right to exist, but mother fuck Netanyahu and his genocidal campaign.

Seth MacFarlane has a weird bear-on-girl kink. It happened in Family Guy too. A bear kills a busty blonde teacher's husband and the two run off together.

I'm not in any position to judge him whatsoever, but I have to ask: Why? How?

You take an early furry crush of mine. I had a thing for Gadget from Rescue Rangers. But that's me imagining myself with her. That's not me imagining her romancing a member of another species. (Like, I don't know, a housefly or something. That would be stupid.) Does Seth MacFarlane identify with the bear? Is that his preferred fursona? Or did he watch Paddington Bear when he was a kid and ship him with a human female costar?

If I tried to write with my left hand it would take me forever to do and still look like it was written by a 5 year old.

Somebody did that for a class once. They were working on a poster, and the writing was meant to look like it was done by a child, so they used their non-dominant hand. The result looked like something written by a person who was just learning how to write.

Im also left handed yet always use my right hand for using a mouse. Writing with my right hand though is difficult and uncomfortable. I can kind of do it because Im old enough that I came from that era where schools used to try to force you to use your right hand because they thought writing with your left was wrong. Until my dad told the school to stop doing that to me. That was still very much a thing in the early 80s.

I work at a hospital interviewing patients about their medication lists before they are admitted. If I'm running behind, I have the option of stopping by the cafeteria. I'm left-handed. So, if I'm eating at my work station, that forces me to use my non-dominant hand to manipulate the mouse and keyboard.

I keep a list of room numbers on a notepad. Once I've seen them, I cross their number out and add a tally mark at the top of the page. The other day, I interviewed one patient before stopping by the cafeteria. When I came back, I tried to cross out their room number with my right hand and found it surprisingly difficult. The same was true for making a simple tally mark. I

I can handle a mousepad or a joystick with my right hand, no problem. But an attempt at a straight line on a piece of paper is more likely to resemble a miniature lightning bolt.
