Jump between 16-bit to 3d was pretty big imo but 3d wasnt pretty until the ps2/gamecube/xbox gen.

My opinion:
Geralt could not have been better.
Ciri is absolutely fantastic.
Yennifer was also fantastic
Triss was a good fit. Hopefully she gets more screen time in season 2 (witcher book spoilers) when Geralt takes Ciri to Kaer Morhen.
Fringilla was also great, no complaints.
Calanthe was friggin awesome
Jaskier/Dandelion was the best casting in the whole show aside from Geralt himself.

So no complaints with the casting. My only real gripe is that having read the books, it would've helped non-fans if the jumping around in time with the storylines had been labeled to make it easier to follow.

Charlotte is not on the coast so no. We might get a bad hurricane this far inland maybe once every 15 years. Even then we're far enough in that the land between the coast and us weakens the storm by a lot.

I would have agreed with you until Florence happened. My neighborhood flooded, we were without power for about two weeks, and we couldn't return home until the water finally receded.

It was pretty awful, all things considered. It was enough for me to seriously consider moving further inland, which I did.

In Charlotte, though? We're hella inland and there was practically no real flooding here...

Ive lived here my whole life aside from college. Hurricanes are a non-issue. Most of the time its just a bunch of people panicking and buying all the god damn milk and bread. Also florida is hella expensive.

I think you're reading into it a whole lot more than it actually is. It's pretty simple. Post offensive shit, someone gets offended, they mark your post for moderation. If its someone being whiny because they just disagree with you then we ignore it. If it's an actual violation, we mod it. I've modded offensive posts that align with my own political opinions before because even if I agree with the person's opinion, they probably expressed it in a shitty way.

That being said, saying "All democrats are <offensive term>" or "All republicans are <abusive phrase>" are pretty much always going to be modded for abusive behavior. Because, believe it or not, both Dems and Rep users exist on this website.

80% of disputes I feel like can be summed up with that message which is one reason we switched in the first place.

In summary: if you have an opinion; don't be a jerk about it and some opinions are best kept to yourself.
