Maybe, it's hard to say. I feel like shows like pre-Urkel Family Matters survived for long times just by being comfort shows that were cheap to make.Sitcoms got cancelled frequently in the 1980s. Like that Lucille Ball sitcom that didn't even finish it's first season. People would come up to you during lunch rush to complain an obscure flavor was out and demand you drop everything to replace the cartridge.. There was only one spout so folks would complain about tasting someone's previous soda selection. The machine was also confusing for people who just wanted water.
