She's doing some kind of writing exercise and here are some of the words she's misspelled. She's misspelled over half of what she's written

Hous (house)
Wite (white)
Wen (when)
Jorge (George)
Rember (remember)
Evre (every)

She is 8. Some of the words she has misspelled were words she probably "learned" a couple years ago. Both nieces keep coming to me with spelling tests and quizzes that they do terribly on Whatever they're doing for spelling it is failing drastically

Also some of their spelling words are shit from the Bible like Hosea Revelation and Emmanuel

>Christian homeschool

I have a feeling that proper spelling isn't the real focus there.

And yes they have to read the Bible and pray as part of the schoolwork

Yeah, those kids are screwed, unless they can break away from this later in life.

I'm sure they will. I tried to teach them about critical thinking. idk what age kids are typically taught it, but they'd never heard of it

Good question

I'm for school choice and homeschool but there needs to be some sort of basic fundamentals and not flat out saying that theories are wrong or that modernism fucked every country it touched lmao

Also keep religion the fuck out of everything except personal lives

Too bad. This is the downside of religious freedom. People are free to fuck themselves and their kids into the cycle.

How is this accredited by the state?

Religious-indoctrination-focused home "schooling" should be grounds for immediate and irrevocable removal of custody from the parents. Any kid who's "taught" this nonsense instead of being given an actual education, once they turn 18, won't even be qualified to sell their own bodies on the street, much less mop floors or flip burgers.
