Sorry, I worded that poorly, I didn't mean people wouldn't want to manage a real life year later. I think I have greatly misunderstood what it is you're trying to do. I thought this was a video game, not a board game (the wrasslin league I have no idea so I didn't know). What I thought you meant by blank slate was:

"Take the video game's database of players, make them all have 0 stats with the VIDEO game software. Make a league of these players with 0 stats and hit a 'simulate season' button without having to watch the games actually being played, they are assigned values based on their performance. B8 then takes these players in order most likely from highest to lowest valued like a MLB the Show style draft. This marks 'season 1.'"

What it sounds like you're actually doing is:
"Manually creating every player in the entire league by hand and manually statting them by hand and manually playing each of these games BY HAND."

NOW I understand why this will be such a time consuming project, and Lord help you. As for your questions:
I would want to manage
I wouldn't really care much about season 0. If you do, I would be very wary in general in terms of the level of writeups you are doing, depending on how many games a season there are. That stuff can get very draining very quickly.
Smaller and faster is probably better because of the amount of physical work you're having to put into this.

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be, assuming you aren't talking about a year later in real life. Fantasy sports are a thing and those guys aren't blank slates at all. IMO it'd be even better having a year so people know what they're getting, rather than the initial run be completely luck based. Better chance for balance right out of the gate that way.

IMO it depends on if the thing that happened is a legitimate thing to be upset about. If a team meeting wigs' criteria got legitimately bad calls and got screwed by refs in a championship and lost the game because of it, those fans still have a right to complain during the aftermath. Bringing it up a while later is where it starts to get pretty grating. Like it sucks, but just move on.

Keep in mind schedules are made several years in advance, so you pretty much have to hope that who you have scheduled turns out to be good when you get around to playing them. It's not like the NFL where they make a new schedule every year for that year.

Well another thing I didn't like about ootp and it was really a big one for me, was how drastic the player ratings seemed to change. I played as Seattle in the 17 version, and Robinson Cano started out as like a highly rated player, but over the course of maybe a month in game dropped to the lowest rating possible. I just couldn't get invested knowing that even highly rated players could go through a cold stretch and just go down so much.

That chiefs player admitted he let go of Brady on that TD because he was afraid of getting flagged, because he thought the ball had been released already. And I get it, he was behind brady and brady let his arm fling like he was gonna throw it so I can understand why he'd think that.

Random question, I just started playing a malygos rogue deck, and last night I got extremely boned by this warlock card that turns a random creature in each hand into a demon. It got my kobold illusionist, but I still had malygos, I threw it out and fell maybe one spell short of a win anyway. Is there a particular way anyone would advise playing that matchup? Do you want to hold onto a minstrel against a warlock, or will they always wait to play the card until you play yours? Do you hold onto the coin the whole game so that if the illusionist gets hit, you can use DK Valeera's ability to throw down malygos, double coin, and throw out enough spells with the help of preparation?

This was even warlock, btw. Is that demon transformation card pretty much always going to be in warlock decks or was it more of a niche deck I ran to?

Finished Frieza EZA. The last level gave me some trouble but I didn't die once, just low health, so that was nice.

His EZA doesn't seem like a huge improvement, but I guess that's because he was like the best out of the original 5 already because of that 120% boost

Congrats to @UltimaterializerX on a tremendous 13-3 week! That's the highest single week we've had thus far.

Upset of the week? It was very nearly the Giants over the Panthers (1 pick on the Gmen) if not for MAH BOI Gano, but instead it goes to the Bills AGAIN, who had 2 out of 48 picks. If you recall, they won week 3 when NO ONE picked them. Lesson? If you see no one picking the bills...maybe consider picking the bills. (not really that's probably a bad idea)
