Oh, and I managed to get my Frieza and Hell Fighter 17 upgraded to UR, but it looks like they have some special tokens to awaken them again? Do they have to do with those character-specific events I see? And do they rotate frequently? And are there any other ways to get those tokens?

So no matter what the banner is, there is a giant pool of SSR characters that never change, and most of these will be the guaranteed SSR that you pull for a multisummon. However, on some banners, there are units that you can't get from that pool on just any summon, they're usually labeled as "dokkan-fest" characters. For a current example, the movie bosses banner has a few dokkan-fest characters that you can't get from just any banner. Stuff like Broly, or Super Janemba. You can see in the news tab how long each banner runs for.

You are correct that those medals are from those events, and the schedule is as follows:
Monday are AGL events
Tuesday are TEQ events
Wednesday are INT events
Thursday are STR events
Friday are PHY events

And it bases the events on what that primary character is. For example, LSSJ Broly's event was originally for his STR card, so it would show up on Thursdays. However, his event had a new harder stage added for his PHY card, so he shows up on Thursdays and Fridays. For 17, the event is primarily for AGL Super 17, you just can also use the medals on a few other units (the event info will tell you which units, hell 17 is one). So his events will be on Mondays. Golden Frieza iirc, his event was for his TEQ type card, so he will show up on Tuesdays.

Also personally Biscuit, imo the 50 stone banner that's up right now is worth summoning on over the discount 30 stone banner, the featured units are so much better that it's worth not guaranteeing a featured character. Again, that's just personally, others might feel different since you're just starting out.

The only time I ever use them to refresh stamina is during an event called the world tournament, and that's only because it gives stones for grinding it. Never ever use it on your stamina bar, especially when you're just starting out and you have so little of it. It's not worth it. Save them for summons.

She takes just about anything, but she gives the most points for SSR pulled characters. Don't do that. She takes support items, training items, characters, and awakening medals.

The Beerus is pretty good, he gets a huge atk boost sometimes. The Goku takes a bit of a grind but eventually you can dokkan him a few times and he becomes a decent free unit. The STR android 18 is garbage.

I swear the series has had it in for Gohan ever since they decided to bring Goku back. All the Buu arc buildup was wasted. They gave him nerd glasses to make him look lame. Hes the only one to ever take a massive power loss from not training. Its like they did anything they could to make people not like Gohan. At least hes a better dad than Goku could ever be, but a rock would make a better parent than Goku

It sucks for us fans, but it makes sense for Gohan because Gohan has only ever wanted to be normal. He hates fighting, he only does it because he knows it makes Goku/Piccolo proud, and because he knows he has the power to protect people. He would much rather be how he is now, a stable job and a happy family life, than be like his dad and constantly have to deal with planetary/universal threats. Goku and Vegeta getting repeatedly stronger probably only reinforces that belief that he doesn't need to train because they can take care of it.

Keep in mind he probably doesn't have access to lots of training items yet, so he can't just level dudes to max, he probably needs to just quest for a bit

Just something to add on to those tier lists, and it's often a big influence on how good a unit is, if you see something called a super modifier, it means the description on a character's super attack that influences how powerful it is. Something that does "huge" damage is the lowest of the normal modifiers, which is why that free gohan will be bad later on. The order from least to greatest is Huge > Extreme > Supreme > Immense.

Oh yeah, that gohan is just the starter one it'll be obsolete soon enough but it'll get teh job done for now. That golden frieza is amazing, I'm not a frieza fan so I almost got rid of him when I was new but I'm so glad I didn't. It basically equates to taking scratch damage from just about anything.

For awakening, know that there are 4 basic different tiers of medals, and the ones required depend on the type of unit. There's common medals, stuff like gregory, which you can get during normal gameplay by picking up "capsules" on the field, by login bonuses, and pretty much anything else. They're everywhere. Then you've got uncommon and rare medals, the types needed to awaken dudes depends on if they're AGL, TEQ, INT, STR, or PHY units. I don't know the uncommon ones off the top of my head but the rare ones are each of the 4 quadrant kais and kibito. Then there's legendary medals, these are Supreme Kai and Elder Kai medals, and those are used to awaken guys to UR (the awakened form of SSR units). The types and number of medals you need goes up with the rarity of the unit you're trying to awaken. So an SR card you're awakening to an SSR will need fewer than an SSR going to UR.

There's also a different category of medals that only drop from certain events or certain maps, but you don't need to know about those yet, and besides those are dropped from very specific places that the game will tell you. For instance, if you wanted to do what's called a "dokkan awakening" on your perfect cell UR, you would find the necessary medals from the perfect cell event, if that makes sense. The medals will usually have the label of the event they're from directly on the medal, and if you ever have a question you can go to the awakening menu, try to awaken the character, and like hold tap the medal required and it will tell you where it comes from.

As long as you aren't too big into missed opportunities, because the 3rd anny celebration just ended. But you get plenty of stones by doing quests until they run out, so from there its just kinda luck of the draw for what units you get from it. This is a power creepy kind of game, if that influences your decision at all.

I enjoyed super but I just skipped the movies. Also I believe the animation quality was so scrutinized during those that it spurred a huge improvement later on in the series. Story-wise, imo it gets better once you get to the new stuff.

I haven't 100% any of mine so I don't knwo what's possible, but looking at each of their SA I would personally give a unit as much AA as I can, since they all have additional effects that you can get extra benefits for for each extra SA use. Like for Guldo, you want that stun, and keep in mind that each point of whatever thing you give is, I believe, equivalent to a 1% increase. I would rather have a 14% chance to get an extra super (and therefore a better chance at a stun) than a 6% chance to do that and an 8% chance to dodge. Or like Burter, he's made for defense, crit isn't really gonna do much for him, and his defense boost on SA stacks, so you want as many supers as you can get, which more AA can give you.

In general, I just prefer AA to everything else.
