Last week had quite a few teams who were underdogs who came out on top, but pick distribution was wide enough that most people ended up with double digit wins. On top however, were 2 people: Cody11533 and your host Emeraldegg, with 13 wins! Upset of the week, in a landslide only 3 people picked Philly to win over an injury ridden SF squad. I know PHI has looked bad but I'm surprised they didn't get more picks with just how banged up SF was.

Before the schedule, there is increasing concern on several teams this week that games may not be played. Tennessee is the usual suspect but I've also heard rumbling that NO/LAC will be affected by hurricane delta. For now, just pick everything on the slate, but check back periodically for updates and I'll post them here as they become available.

Somehow vegito didn't transform once during the fight, stupid 6 turn limit. Luckily I didn't need the heals. I got a perfectly timed dokkan attack right at the start of the 3rd fight that helped immensly. Though I did have to play it safe at the end and burn my remaining item too early to get full health but I was able to make it work.

From what stats I can see he wasn't any better today than trubisky was up to the point he got benched. About the same passer rating, same ypa, barely better completion %, 11 pts...imo trubisky wasn't playing badly enough to get benched. Especially if this is what you're going to get from Foles.

Last week had a few more upsets than week 2, and it showed with win totals down across the board. We even had a tie! This week's shoutout, however, is a double dip! Stevr not only led the way with 12 wins, he also nailed the upset of the week being the only person to pick the Lions over the Cards! Good job bud!

Before I post this week's schedule, a note about the titans and all related games: As of right now, the Titans/Steelers game has been postponed until Monday or Tuesday. Obviously Monday is whatever, but Tuesday is technically the next week of games. I'm making an executive decision and saying that it will count this week even if it's played on Tuesday, so please pick the game as you normally would, and if it gets pushed beyond Tuesday then I may just give it a pass and include it on the following week. As of right now, since they've said monday or tuesday but not a time, I'm not going to institute a deadline for this pick until we hear for sure what time/day it will be. I encourage people to pick the game straight away and then simply change the pick later if news comes out that a critical player will miss the game that will sway your opinion. I will be sure to announce in this topic what the actual game time will be once I find out.

I totally beat the game without anyone leaving hte council on normal, but I think it's p much unavoidable on higher difficulties, assuming we're talking about the doom counter thing.

As far as better hitting, I typically like to use the fuck out of grenades hardcore early on since those don't miss and they can ohko the sectoids. The only other thing you can really do is flank them, if you get literally right next to them without cover between you can hit 100% chance to hit. But early on your guys are just gonna suck more at hitting dudes, just how it goes. YOu can get stuff later on that helps.

It is absolutely an inconvenience for people who just want to use steam and anything having to do with epic is a hard turnoff for them, but it is also absolutely a good thing for the market for epic to challenge steam, even if it upsets some people. Competition makes quality better.

I played quite a few war rooms just because, like andy said, I wanted more advance wars, but in general I don't really enjoy some of them too much, namely the ones where the opponent starts with a clear advantage. I'm very much a "both/all sides start exactly the same" type of person.

I am fairly certain days of ruin had online play. But being that ruin didn't sell well I'm pretty sure it was the last we'd see of it.

Also yeah, pretty sure colin is THE co to do money survival with. I don't remember what my records on the survival maps are, I'll have to bust it out and check sometime. Here's a tip for one of the survivals, I think it might be money actually. On the map where there's a ton of tanks and a bunch of missile silos (and a long pipeline I think? Details are fuzzy), if you wait to build stuff for a while the tanks will all go somewhere far away from the map and you can just build a single mech unit (or even infantry probably) and kill them all with that one unit once you missile them to pieces

P Sure the base mechanics of luck are that any unit can deal randomly 0-10% more damage than what it lists when you go to make the attack. So if something lists 50%, you can do anywhere between 50-60%. However, also IIRC Sonja is one of the only COs to experience NEGATIVE luck (as a passive, that is. Flak and Jugger can experience it during their powers/supers). I don't recall to what degree and I could even be mistaken completely, but if true it also means sonja is one of the only COs who it's possible to not kill an enemy if you're slated to do enough damage to kill something. (IE if something has exactly 50% HP, and you are slated to deal 50%, it's possible you won't kill it)

Idgaf about nell and rachel's stuff though, nell is basically just "randomly ohko things" as far as I'm concerned.

Edit: I missed someone pointing out the negative luck thing, so I guess I was correct. At least for sonja though, you're still guaranteed solid damage even if it's less. Flak and jugger can just randomly decide they won't do a damn thing at all.

Against human players, eagle/sami is probably a tad less impressive, but regardless, 3 turns with no penalty is just insane. Against AI players though, who aren't likely to sit a unit on their HQ, you can just load up a T copter, soar across the map, drop off the infantry and one turn capture their HQ.
