Took a break from Monster Hunter World to play some more Style Savvy and came up with these. I realize I'm too reliant on base colors for themes, but the simplicity is too appealing for me.

I just went ahead and put all of the images in one link, although there are a decent amount so just a heads up.

This happened a few weeks ago but I forgot about it, until I realized it was one of those things you people would say never happened, so here.

I was loitering in a Wal-Greens to stay out of the cold on my way somewhere when I overheard this black lady yelling at the staff, I heard pretty much all of it since I was there awhile, and she just kept going on and on in circles.

So her "problem" was that she made an $8 transaction and at the end of it she decided she didn't want one of the items that was already rung up. So the clerk had to cancel that transaction and start a new one. When this one was complete, the woman's card was denied because of insufficient funds. She said that couldn't be right because the first one went through and cost more, but the clerk tried to explain that the $8 from the first transaction was probably being processed by her bank and wasn't yet in her account since it was sent back by the store.

Simple story, but she just could not, or chose not to understand. She and the clerk went back and forth until she asked to see the manager who said the same exact thing. The whole time she kept insisting that they give her a cash refund for the $8, since she "spent" it but wasn't able to buy anything she came for. They explained that they couldn't refund her because they didn't have her money, at which she would scream that it was right there, pointing to the cash register (who knew swiping a card made money appear out of thin air?).

At this point it wasn't even time for me to be going, but I was so annoyed that I grabbed some candy and went towards the checkout. Meanwhile she had gone to check the ATM which is right by the check out/door, and started screaming again when she saw the $8 still wasn't put back on her card. At this point I wanted to hit her with something but restrained myself and handed her a $20 bill (I only had 20s, or else I would have given her 10), and told her she should be able to get what she came for with that, putting on my best smile.

She thanked me very nicely but on my way out I heard her say to one of the clerks that she still wasn't going to leave until she got her $8 and I had to stop myself from saying anything more.

I guess the moral of the story is: "Don't bother helping crazy people."

Good luck having anything done about it. A politician trying to improve the system in anyway that is even remotely beneficial for the inmates (regardless of that being better for society in the long run) will be bad optics even if it is supported by facts. If they want votes they'll find some victim to exploit by holding their hand as they propose more "tough on crime" laws (regardless of that being worse for society in the long run).

Yes, this is the fourth one, Styling Star. That's the name of my boutique, I've always gone with "Blu Nights" and a Goth/luxury theme, but this time I think I'll do Lolita/luxury for a small mix up. Also these games are legit good, I wouldn't pour dozens of hours into each game otherwise.

I'm a bit surprised by the votes, didn't expect the goth outfit to be ahead by so much, I guess since I specialize in it the quality might be a bit higher? I only have 1,200 items unlocked though, so what I can do is pretty limited for now.

God, I can't believe you don't unlock the hair stylist until around the eight hour mark. I've spent almost all day playing this since the pre-load went through at noon, and at one in the morning the next day I'm just being allowed to change my hair, with very limited options at that? Not to mention I haven't unlocked the cosmetics shop or the modeling agency to take better pictures, but I'm too tired to keep going.

Other than that, the game is pretty great. It seems to take the best parts of Trendsetter and Fashion Forward with a surprisingly involved story on top. It was pretty annoying for Nintendo to release their best game so late in the year, but I forgive them for getting it to the States at all.

Anyways, I'm still trying to decide what style to go for so give me some votes while I sleep, kthx.

And she ripped open the wrapping paper viciously right in front of me, when I spent literally like a half hour redoing the paper to make it look nice (which I told her). This happened today mind you, Friday, December the 22nd... She didn't seem to think to wait for Christmas at all, or even until she got home where her parents could see the work I put into the presentation of the gift. She asked what it was, and I told her... and she just said "oh, huh, thanks." and we parted ways. Nothing along the lines of "Oh you shouldn't have!" or "Gosh, I didn't even get anything for you, I'm sorry!" nope, just "thanks".

I might be misunderstanding you, but in a normal case that might be right... Not so much when the punishment is going to Hell for the rest of time, what response could one hope for? If you're referring to the God of the Bible, you make the mistake of assuming he created humans with a free will. Very few passages in the Bible support the notion that man has autonomous free will and can please God of his own accord.

Also, if you think heaven is going to consist of people sitting on their butts for eternity then it's no wonder why people find the idea to have very little appeal.

If God didn't create humans with free will, how can punishing or rewarding them for their actions be justified? What is the point in creation at all without free will? Is good verses evil the equivalent of a child making two action figures fight for his own amusement?

Why spend the energy creating the Universe and humanity if the latter has just pissed him off for virtually all of it's existence? What is in it for him?

If he created humans with free will and set up the requirements to get into heaven opposing basic human nature... Might he need a specific type of person for a specific task? Since he demonstrated his greatest feats (by far) before there were any worshipper's for him, I doubt he needs prayer to sustain himself.

Maybe he's like collecting soldiers for some specific battle against a transdimensional threat? Then again, angels have free will as well and would make far better soldiers, especially since they could be mass produced. Maybe the nature of a human, living a human life imparts something to the soul angelic creatures lack?

I just find it hard to believe the point of heaven is just to sit in happiness forever and ever, like what would the point even be? There has to be more to it than that, ya know?

Doesn't matter. Your premise is that you need to form this "guild" because you can't find anyone like you, but that premise is fundamentally flawed because you need to find people like you in order to populate it. The Internet probably is a better place to look, but that means it's also a better place to look for just plain friends, with none of this weird plan that sounds like some kind of larping cult.

doctor, lawyer, game designer, etc

Wait, hold the phone, you think that a game designer is as important as a doctor or a lawyer? Really? Aren't you a full blooded, honest to god adult now?

In terms of utility to The Guide, The Designer would be more important, in that they would help us control and recruit others. And yes, I pay taxes and everything.

You'd still have to find those like-minded people to put together this "guild," so you're kind of back to square one.

Right, although the internet is a better place to look than the place I live in.

Guns are literally the one school which matters. Just because you learn Gun-Fu doesn't mean you should hold it against the rest of us.

No cowards are allowed in The Guild I'm afraid.

you can't be real

You know, there's an Aesop that goes along the lines of Prometheus complaining to Zeus that the first humans he created were vastly out numbered by the wild beasts. Zeus, being Zeus, just took some of the animals and transformed them into humans to even things out. The moral of the story is that some people have the souls of beasts, not people, which explains the awful things they do.

If I would put credibility in any of the fables it would be that one. Living as a true human in a world of beasts is insufferable.

What do you bring you the guild? I don't think you fit your own requirements.

As the founder I would take the burden of being The Leader and let the Members focus on their tasks and projects. As for the requirements obviously I fit all of them or else I wouldn't have listed them.

I'm so tired of having to deal with the common rabble day in and day out, not encountering a soul who is anywhere near my wavelength and watching as the world slips farther into decadence.

The requirements for entry would be

>martial prowess in at least one school (excluding guns)
>philosophic and creative mindset
>above average intellect and cunning
>good fashion sense
>a specialized skill that could come in handy for the guild (doctor, lawyer, game designer, etc.)

The guild would just be known as The Guild to outsiders, as would the members (being referred to simply as Member [Code-Name]) and its true aims would be a secret to everyone.

I doubt I'll find any takers (or anyone who even qualifies) but send me a P.M. if you're interested or whatever.
