Even though the creator of the series said years and years ago that he would want a white actor to play the part?

I have to imagine he would want to avoid the issue the Full Metal Alchemist live action movie has with it's Japanese cast, in that none of the characters look remotely like their originals. Blonde wigs can only do so much, ya know?

Why would I respect someone just for having been sucking in air longer than I have?

There are people half my age who know more than I do in certain subjects, and people twice my age who are immature idiots unworthy of the smallest iota of respect.

Respect should only be given on a case by case basis, not just because a person is part of some group, whatever that group might be (this also applies to disrespect).

The main reasons hand guns guns are so widely used is their massive range and ease of use, not their overwhelming destructive power. Cowards enjoy the idea of being able to kill and maim without putting themselves in great danger, and without any real training that would teach them what battle is really about. Of course both sides of a given conflict often think in this same way and the result is a bunch of idiots and thugs with no clue what they are doing carrying around or leaving laying about, weapons which can kill many people without much work at all. It's barbaric really.

Anyways, a sword slash/stab would do more damage than a shot from a standard hand gun pretty much every time if they hit the same area, although is some cases like the head or the heart, the end result will be the same regardless of the initial damage.

The more you know.

I was thinking of names for "dark" attacks using the four classical elements for a story I came up with and came up with "Infernal Blaze" for fire, " Stygian Wave" for water, "Princely Breath" for air, and "Plutonium Auger" for earth, all having to do with hell obviously. It got me thinking though and so I actually looked up plutonium on wikipedia and apparently it can be about as hard as common cast iron and so could probably be used to make something lethal.

Just as fun fact I thought I'd pass on.

That's not really a bad thing though. Peace isn't necessarily boring.

People desire conflict whether they are willing to admit it or not. If we don't have an actual enemy to fight we will invent one or start tearing ourselves apart. Like how the Athenians and Spartans teamed up to defend themselves from the Persians, but within a century of being at peace with them, basically crippled themselves.

For two reasons.

1. Then as a Northerner I wouldn't have to be in the same country as them, and 2. Both of the resulting countries would have been far weaker than the current US, meaning world history would have been very different. It is so boring having one player so much stronger the everyone else on the world stage.

Imagine all the crazy stuff that would have gone down if other countries knew there wasn't an over powered, egocentric, """world police officer""" waiting to slap them down. Hell, before that, imagine how the world wars would have gone? Man, what a missed opportunity.

Minecraft for killing time.
Monster Hunter on the way for something of a challenge.
Pokémon on the way, which you know, Pokémon.
SMT on the way for the best JRPG series.
Mario looks pretty good.
Etc.

Really the only things I really, really want now are Smash 4 Switch and a new SS. It would be awesome to see a HD entry since on the 3ds some of the details in your outfits/make up would always get missed since the resolution was zoo low, especially if you took a full body photo. Speaking of photos, the Switch has a screenshot button so the devs don't have to worry about that. They always make use of the hardware though, so I wonder how they would use the Joy-con? Maybe let you do different poses while walking down the runway as a model and during photo shoots?

Anyways, yeah, the series seems to be here to stay and since the 3ds is old hat, I don't think it's unlikely to happen, it's just a question of when.

Basically the conversation went like this.

Black guy asks asian woman if she has dated a black guy before (obviously trying to hit on her).
She says no, because all of the ones who have hit on her, in her experience, have been "players".
Black guy asks if she dates white men.
She said she has, because some of them who have approached her have wanted an actual relationship.
Black guy gets angry and starts talking about how weak minded white men are and how they're cowards, ect. ect.
Everyone just awkwardly shuffles around as he goes on.

Oh well, he's a temp so I'm sure he'll be gone in the next day or so. Still, first time I've seen someone be so open with their racism in person.

I had to check like five different stores but GameStop actually had one. I walked in and didn't see anything indicating as such though, so I was caught off guard when the the girl asked me if I had found what I was looking for and I mentioned the Switch.

So caught off guard that I let her talk me into signing up for the rewards thing they do and a warranty on the system (she was cute in a nerdy sort of way, which didn't help). When she asked what games I was looking into and I mentioned Zelda, she made me buy the expansion pass too. At this point I realized I only had so much cash on me though and I couldn't even afford to spend another $60 to. get Zelda at that point.

I made up some lie about having bought it already in anticipation and just got Cave Story +, which came with an awesome keychain.
The system itself is really cool though, glad I lucked out.

Alright, so things went as expected this first run, which isn't odd considering how few rolls there were.

Shea found herself in her cell on the day of her execution for the crime of high treason. She unsuccessfully attempted to find someway to save herself before her guards brought her to the center of the City Square. At this point some more background was given. Shea was a guard/medic (level 3 Paladin) in the special military division tasked with personally protecting the Princess and was the last one with her before she vanished. She was captured and jailed for about nine months in which time a rigged trial was held and her fate sealed.

Right before the sword of the executioner came down on her neck however, a loud howl was heard and then panic spread through the large crowd. One of the Guard Hounds, large (say the size of a small car) mechanical canine like creatures built to protect the City appeared and started attacking buildings and causing chaos.

At this point I used it in a battle against three Guards and won pretty easily. Next was a bit more of a test in that I fought a Rook (basically a heavily armored fighter with a lance that doubles as a harpoon/net gun) which also took a long time since it's one of my unique enemies and I had to change some stats around.

After winning that battle at about 60% HP the G.H. then proceeded to eat Shea alive and run off.
