You said Californians are horrible and you wouldn't care if they got nuked. Well deserved moderation tbh. I know because I got modded for insulting you and just checked my moderation history. If you need a different reason though, you probably also could have gotten modded for trolling or maybe even flaming given how many Cali users there are here.

The key is that those two statements aren't inherent to one another. People and their assumptions these days, always looking for something to get into a tizzy over, and inventing reasons if nothing exists. I certainly wouldn't be bothered in the least if someone said the same for the state I live in, why would I?

Even if you're just expressing your honest and reasonable opinion. Point taken.

Didn't get GACII warned when he was advocating mass murder, among other messed up shit.

Well you know how inconsistent the mods are here. So I guess directly advocating for death/murder is cool, but being mostly indifferent to it for logical reasons is horrible and evil? Oh well.

Anyways, some more info on New Style Boutique 3/Girl's Mode 4 has been released.

That trailer was actually put up as the same time as the other one but I thought it was just a shorter version and didn't know it had gameplay in it, who h looks great as one would expect.

The official site updated with some screenshots and info, although I had to put the latter through google translate. Basically it said

-New accessories in bracelets/watches, head phones, and glasses and ear rings are separate categories now (thank goodness)
-You can get your nails done (finally) and in many different ways (although on a 240p screen...)
-More story driven with different paths/characters based on the style you focus on
-Some characters are rising stars/singers/idols/etc. who you act as the exclusive fashion consultant for
-Their performances are the main new addition and can be recreated by the player and other characters ala photo shoots in the previous games

One other thing they mentioned was that the game is in 2d only, which might have let them squeeze out a bit of extra juice since the characters look much better in my opinion. Maybe the psuedo cel-shading is just a better fit for the game in general though. The top is the new game and the bottom one my best recreation in the latest game.

I also really like the buttons and text boxes, they are much less childish than the last two games and it seems the whole affair will be more mature this time around. The lack of 3d makes me think the doll house will get dropped and probably the multiple jobs draw of Fashion Forward, which is fine by me if they don't flesh them out any more. I would miss the designer job, but of them all that would be the most likely to stay.

If California was nuked I honestly wouldn't even begin to care, I'm on the other side of the country and it seems like an awful place full of awful people to me.

If Japan got nuked I'd be pissed enough to consider joining the military, although that wouldn't be necessary since we would just wipe them off the face of the map.

But no seriously I am just wondering what the game is about.

Well in the States the series is called Style Savvy, and in Europe, Nintendo Presents: New Style Boutique. In each game you become the owner of a clothing store where you coordinate outfits for customers based on their requests and use the profits to improve your shop, buy new clothes, or do personal things like go to the hair stylist/buy furniture for your apartment. There are also side activities like fashion contests/modeling and in the latest game working at the hair/make up salon yourself in addition to running the boutique.

They are fun and highly polished games, as Nintendo helps make them (there is even a trophy and song remix for the series in Smash Bros. 4), and the main devs aren't bad either with games like WWF: No Mercy and Def Jam: Fight for NY under their belt. Between all of them I've probably sunk 600 hours + trying to collect the 20,000 odd different clothing items and other accessories.

I'm not being ironic in the least when I praise the games, but unfortunately they do pretty poorly in the States, so I guess not many people have heard them.

The sensor won't get a hit since the sword is always with you. What a waste of a topic.

It makes their accomplishments seems grander for beating the odds and gives them an excuse for their failures and short comings.

It's pathetic, especially when the person/group doesn't even really face any substantial persecution.

So it looks like like it's being called Styling Star in Europe where it has a release date of November 24th.

No word on a State side release yet. I hope it doesn't take them nearly a year to bring it over like it did last time.

I also hope you can be some sort of idol in the game, hence the title.

In the Japanese version of today's Nintendo Direct.

Yes, this was important enough to make a separate topic about rather than posting it in another Direct topic.

Why? Because, without having even seen any gameplay, I can tell you that this will be GotY. Not Zelda, not Nier, not Persona 5, etc. Girl's Mode 4.

I wish it was on the Switch, but maybe we will see an enhanced version of this ported down the line. I'd buy both.
