Ah sorry, I looked and looked but I don't seem to have the drawing I made anymore. It was one of my old designs. Basically it was a great sword that could be reverse wielded and held like a staff to cast spells with the magic crystal that served as the pommel. I think it had a really clean design and was even somewhat practical!

I should really finish writing that not though, so you know...

I've been thinking lately that it's time I should move on with my life, actually do something with it for once. I'll be honest with you all, the last decade hasn't been that great for me, from 2010 to 2020 that is. I hated high school, wasted a year and a half in college because I was expected to go, meandered about for a few years after that, got myself into some trouble here and there, and worked a job I grew to hate as well. I'm not the "superstitious" type but I have a feeling this coming decade will be better, and to facilitate that I'm considering some radical changes in my life.

Funny that I said the last decade was bad for me when it about lines up to when I first starting posting on this board. I think it was the summer of '11, I had been banished from my home town for some typical adolescent slight I had committed and was stuck with a relative for the entire summer vacation. I had used the boards long before that but had never been here until I stumbled across it by accident. I was surprised to see a board where you could post any random thought that went through your head, I have many fond memories of that summer because of the shenanigans I got up to and meeting so many new people. I think that not everyone liked me right away because I was honestly pretty immature back then but they all still engaged with me and I felt like part of the gang quickly.

This board has given me many exciting stories, fierce clashes of intellect, laugh-out-loud moments, and wonderful ideas and advice. I don't talk about myself very often, but I've never really had many people I could call my friends, but I still think of you all as my comrades even when we disagree because at least you all never ignored me. Still with all of that said I have to wonder if all these years spent speculating and gesticulating about my ambitions have stolen from the time I could have been realizing those ambitions. I want to tell stories, I always have, I want to share the happiness that experiencing stories have given to me all my life. It's a new decade and I'm not getting any younger so I feel like this is the time to go all out and make up for my previous inaction. My two main usernames here were Sleeping_King and Dreaming_King, it's time for this King to finally wake up.

So back to those changes I mentioned... One of the biggest ones of them is that I'm going to close this account. I also lost an account bet on the Smash Ultimate board earlier but that is just a coincidence, I'm doing this because I want to. I won't return, not even to lurk until I have created something that will wow you all, so don't forget me Ok? I'm taking the Advanced Engine for 6KK for extreme speeds, Stronger Treads for 5KK to save on weight and the risk of being stopped by a physical object/damage, Advanced Optics for 3KK so I can see in the dark, Murder Holes for 2KK in case anyone tries to pull me over and I have to use my box of guns, Self Destruct for 3KK for a big boom, Oil for 1KK for a bigger boom, Extra Fuel for 3KK for a biggest boom, (0KK)

Assuming I'm not a target as soon as I enter the Killdozer then I set out in the middle of the night for a prime location. Since the machine will look mostly innocent as long as I drive at the speed limit I cold probably get pretty close before running into any problems but if I do the initial response should be small and manageable. When in potion I can gun it and do a massive amount of structural damage in one blow which can be capitalized on by the explosion.

I have no experience in gun fights or operating heavy machinery so that "ninja build" is probably my best bet for causing the greatest amount of damage. Might want to keep the scoop just to make the ramming bit penetrate a bit deeper though...

Maybe Blade of Babel like the tower of Babel being tall enough to approach heaven, or The Nail of God, since it can reach any target (not necessarily but you get my point). If you wanted more of a single word answer then Quill since it invokes the lightness of a feather (it naturally being a thinner/lighter sword) and the speed and reach that a bird has in going after it's prey.

Well she created the soul of your soul mate because it would be unethical to just find someone compatible with you and teleport them over and brainwash them into liking you. Still the soul needs some sort of vessel to inhabit and shoving it into the body of some random person would also be unethical so she has to use an inanimate object. Dolly is the exception since her form was incomplete/defective enough that she wouldn't have a full soul anyways. She is giving you the choice to pick one for yourself since each is so different from the others.

Sorry but why should he have given his mom $1,000,000 exactly? That is 20 years worth of average wages, without taking any expenses into account, for many it would be close to a life time of work. Why did she deserve that massive amount of money? Did she do part of the work that got him that contract? Do you know that she wasn't the kind of person (like the majority of the population) who would quickly blow the money and then come crawling back for more? Humans are hardwired to be loyal and care for other members of their close groups like family, friends, and people who share similar characteristics like nationality, locality, culture, language, religion, etc. etc. Obviously how each group or individual is ranked is based on the person ranking them but for example if a close friend or loved one revealed to you that they had a drug problem would you immediately call the police and turn them in for breaking the law or would you ignore that "obligation" to the State and try to get them help without legal consequences?

A person that puts the State/an arbitrary authority figure above their family or friends is someone with deep personal issues or a lack of said connections, and unfortunately that is exactly what modern society has done it's best to bring about.

Now if you're talking about a situation where someone logically should snitch on someone, like someone who has harmed them and who they dislike, then pride and a desire to settle the matter outside of the impersonal discretion of the law is the answer. Personally I just do whatever will cause the most damage to my enemy so I might "snitch" in such a situation.

If they surrender, apologize to me, and agree to wait for the police to arrive I might spare them, since they would still be taken care of. If they continue to pose a threat or try to escape justice by fleeing then I would do my best to neutralize them. I mean I hope I never find myself in that sort of situation in the first place but that's honestly how I would act.

Although I wouldn't recommend it in the winter since I'm sure it gets pretty cold in Indiana.

Normally it does get pretty cold here but this winter has been great. Around this time last year it was -10 with a -40 windchill, now it's been hovering around 35 and 40.

Those take practice, you can't just expect to be able to throw anything accurately like Agent 47.

You're probably best off with a small crossbow if you insist on something non melee, but how "portable" that is is debatable.

I plan on training just like I did with my knife. YouTube has tutorial videos on nearly everything so I'm sure I'll be able to find something. As for a crossbow, if I could a arm mounted one like Guts from Berserk I would consider it.

So I was bored at work today and happened to be in the back of the warehouse by myself. I took out my knife to cut some boxes up and on a whim decided to try throwing it at some of them. I was very surprised by the penetrative power I could generate just from basic throws and how fun it was. It got me thinking, I carry my knife in the first place for basic self defense but what do I do if the guy runs off after hitting me or realizing he's out matched? I could chase him sure, but wouldn't it be way cooler to get the last laugh by leaving him a souvenir in the form of a blade in his back?

So anyways I just looked up the weapon laws in my state and apparently ninja stars, throwing knives, and ballistic knives are all banned. Keep in mind this is the same state that has no carry or length restrictions on knives, meaning you can walk around with a claymore or a halberd or any type of melee weapon legally in your day to day life. So what are my options for a good portable ranged weapon?

Maybe a charkram? I mean you can't really call it a knife since it has no points right?

The House in Fata Morgana is pretty great and I would consider it my favorite "stand alone" VN I guess (ignoring that A Requiem for Innocence is sold separately). It's just so delightfully tragic and every aspect of the story just clicks together by the end so well.

However the When they Cry as a whole series with call backs and themes that play off of each other is probably my outright favorite, kinda hard to recommend a total 200 odd hour long story to someone though.

Recently I tried reading something newer and less talked about and picked up this one called... Heart of the Woods or something like that and my God was it bad, avoid at all costs. I mean I didn't finish it or anything but I saw enough to know it was bad.

People going out and buying a $60 remake of Red and Blue that was worse than the GBA remakes made 14 years prior to it just confirmed for them that they really could just put out any garbage and the fans would still eat it up.

Really the legal system is sexist against women as far as more or less saying that women don't have the same level of culpability as men. It's almost like grouping them in with minors as far as cognitive and moral standards go. Not to mention the larger sentences men get when they victimize a woman compared to when a man commits a crime against another man. It reminds me of cultures that treated women like the property of her husband/family and thus damage to them had different, harsher punishments than when two equal men had a problem with each other.

Many murders and crimes in general involve alcohol, narcotics, or people in extreme emotional states. Hell even entirely sober people probably start getting nervous when they realize the cops are coming and there's a decent chance they'll be shot at. Age of consent is 16 in Ohio and personally I think there shouldn't necessarily even be criminal charges in cases like this where that is the case unless it can be proven that the contact was unwanted. Obviously any teacher sleeping with a student should be fired and have their licence revoked for ethical reasons but it seems silly that it would be perfectly legal for them to be together if she quit her job or even just went to teach at a different school, but now her life is more or less ruined and she has to do hard time.

On the other hand I hate things being "unfair" and since the law is set up the way it is now in reality she should be punished the same as anyone else who committed her crime. If she gets off it would annoy me. Like there was a case in my town where some woman was caught red handed in bed with a 13 year old boy and literally got away with it with virtually no punishment. I don't even care about what she did, it just isn't fair she didn't get the same decades long sentence most other people would have received.

Ahh and I just found these gems while looking around.
"Under Ohio law, minors between the ages of 13 and 15 are legally allowed to engage in sexual conduct with another minor between the ages of 13 and 17."
"If a minor is legally emancipated, they has all the rights and privileges of an adult despite their age. The age of consent law would not apply to a minor who was considered emancipated."

And yet I'm sure the prosecutor could easily stand up in court with a straight face talking about how damaging such a vile action was to the fragile mind of the vulnerable victim, a 16 year old boy (ignoring the fact he could legally have sex with almost anyone else in the State) and how that monster needs to be locked away for the safety of the children. What a joke the legal system is. Still though she shouldn't be let out.

I was watching Inside Edition and there was this story about a 93 year old man who shot some guy over something. He was polite, let the woman in the room leave without a fuss, fired a warning shot, and only shot the guy he was upset at in the legs instead of the chest or head.

The cops show up and just like always they were screaming hysterically "PuT The GUn dowN! PUt it DoWwwWN!!!" before one of them fired a shot at the old man faster than anyone reasonably could have responded to their inarticulate yelling. Thankfully it missed (they also have awful aim most of the time, huh?) but when the guy calmly put his gun down the officer still slammed him down to the ground to handcuff him.

Look I'm not saying shooting people is fine or that the old man was in the right for what he did, that's irrelevant. The issue I have is that it's like this 90% of the time when the cops respond to a crime, they scream, they shoot, they rough people up, why don't they just try talking to people like normal human beings instead of letting fear and adrenaline reduce them into animals with lethal weapons?

His stealing of the presumably valued property of his neighbors is wrong, but otherwise dogs or cats shouldn't be held in any sort of special regard. Honestly the pronoun bit has always confused the hell out of me. Many trans people go to incredible lengths to appear as the gender they identify as and yet they also don't want people to assume they are a given gender? Like what is the point if the change isn't enough that people can safely assume they are the gender they feel they actually are? Beyond that it's plain common sense that the majority of "cis" people don't care if you assume their gender/pronouns as long as you get it right which is easy 99.9% of the time, so asking someone what their pronouns are is just pointing them out as trans or whatever and basically telling them you can't tell what they're going for. Almost seems insulting to me.

I'm not confused as to why he feels sad or angry, just why he feels like the situation is his fault. If it was just grief making him think irrationally for a time I could buy it but they don't try to sell it like that from what I've seen.

Most thieves tend to carry weapons that you can't can't see until they decide to use them, and even then most people (yourself included I imagine) would be too scared to directly confront a thug while unarmed and chase after them.

Mind you I'm only going off of the several movie and cartoon incarnations of Spider-Man and my hazy memory. Maybe in the comics it's more sensible but I don't read comics.

Anyways it seems like he beats himself up over the fact that he could have stopped the guy who killed his uncle before the act, thereby preventing it, but he had no foreknowledge such an event would occur right? If he had stopped the guy then maybe he would have killed a guard in jail or any other number of possibilities. I don't see why someone who wasn't at least somewhat egotistical would feel bad about something several factors removed from their direct actions. Have the comics ever pointed this out?
