Because the word racism implies a feeling of superiority which does not exist between minority groups

Being bigoted or xenophobic is something entirely different.

Presuming we are limiting the discussion to African countries that have a black majority that holds most of the power (so like not South Africa), kind of. You can still act racist, but that racism isn't going to have nearly the power it would have coming from a member of a majority, which is what people tend to focus on but not articulate well.

Be the question is can you be racist. Not if you can act racist

And "being racist" is a more complex concept, such that that question cannot be answered without making some distinctions.

It would be racist to say I'm white just 'cuz my skin colour is idiosyncratic with whiteness.

They can be. Its ridiculous to argue otherwise.

Personally I do not even like using the racist word though. If a black dude/chick is being mean to an asian dude/chick vice versa, than they are simply being a jerk.

what? if they hate them based on their race what is wrong with calling it racism? That's what it is isn't it? Just call them a jerk if they really are a racist? makes no sense. And as for the topic black people can't be racist towards asian people? Was that a joke or are you being serious tc? I know for a fact that that isn't true. Idk i've even heard some people who have the opinion that there is more black, asian racism than black, white. Of course as a percentage not total number cause asians are only like 5 percent of the total in the u.s.a. Is that true?, idk, what do you think about that?

See, the more people downplay it the more you drive people to have more Conservative views.

If your boss is a black woman and she hates you because you're a white man, it doesn't matter how unlikely that is, you're just as screwed as you would be if your boss was a white man that hated you because you're a black woman. Both of the bosses are equally terrible people.

If it's only coming from the Conservatives, they can just go "oh those looney Conservatives" and PBS or Conan o Brian will have her as a guest or something.

Judging by that dislike bar I don't think any real amount of liberals are actually buying it. That's not really something you can say for an Alex Jones video. Alex Jones makes Conservatives look bad, this person makes Liberals look bad. The difference is Alex Jones actually has an audience. It's extremely important to make it clear Liberals want nothing to do with these people or this line of thinking.

The thing people tend to overlook is that it's a power distribution thing more so than a sheer numbers thing. Racism from a white dictatorial regime in a primarily-black country is going to have more of an impact than equivalent racism from the black citizenry would have. The other thing people forget is that this principle scales down. As you said, it doesn't matter what the power distribution is like in the country as a whole, racism from one's boss can make one's life miserable. It's easy to look at how predominantly white America's citizenry and power distribution are and assume from there that everyone else is going to be disadvantaged, but that's not necessarily true at all if you focus on smaller communities.

I don't think the typical American really relates to white dictatorial regimes in black countries.

This is just relevant to American craptivism and how it affects us all in a negative way. They're misrepresenting us, and the first response should be "no", not "here's where I agree with you".

It just seems like damage control.

How about a white guy running a factory staffed mostly by poor Mexican immigrants? Clearly outnumbered, but he's still got all the power, so if he decides to be racist toward them, there's not much they can do about it. Flip it around and have a white guy working in a Mexican factory, though, and him being racist is much more likely to end up hurting him than anyone else.

Yes, it's still "being racist" in both situations, but the impact varies dramatically based on the power dynamic in question. The person can still be racist, but it matters a whole lot less when they don't have any power to put behind it.

Yes, but the video is bad and it would be a good move to condemn how demonstrably antagonistic it is to a demographic Democrats already have a tough time winning over.

Unless you're agreeing with them entirely, that racism is a "structure". Racism is a word that means whatever we want it to mean. There's no point in excluding white people from "racism", and how we don't stand for it, as if there's actually a reason to stand by white racism. There is none. It's just blind antagonism from people who probably just "don't like white people". It's just really foolish.

The word racism is a tool to shun people. By changing the word you're saying you want white racists to be less shunned.

Anyone who believes they can't be racist or bigoted against others because they're (insert race/religion/gender here) needs to sit down and re-read the definition of racism and bigotry.
