| Doe 05/11/18 11:22:09 PM #1 | I was upset at how there was a lack of consistently-happening platforming. The first console game I ever played was Super Mario Galaxy, which was much more linear and had you constantly going for the goal. So the idea of "hey bitchio I need more moons go kick rocks" didn't sit well with me. I also didn't like how strong Cappy is. I mean, Mario is basically a movement god in Odyssey, while in Galaxy you had a twirl and a backflip. I just really hated how you'd get a few minutes of sweet raw platforming like in Sand or Metro Kingdom starts and then the level design shifts from linear goal-making to larger layout when you get to the hub aspect of each Kingdom. Once I beat the main journey, I put it away, kinda unsatisfied. I'm so glad I picked it up again though. I'm at 746 moons right now, saving Darker Side for last. When I accepted that it's a different approach and more like a scavenger hunt my enjoyment went through the roof. Oh about how strong Mario is, I am still kind of disappointed by just how deeply Cappy is ingrained into the gameplay. When I got the first rocket in the game in Sand Kingdom where you hang Cappy on a scarecrow and do the level without him I got excited and thought it would be a recurring treat like the No-FLUDD levels in Sunshine, but unfortunately that is not the case. Many no-Cappy challenges like time challenge act like jumping two platforms without the hat is ball bustingly difficult --- |

That 'ivory tower' culture and writing off of entire communities made a lot of people here very upset. Why would people vote for someone whose more obvious policies will worsen their lives when there is the other guy saying he will protect them? --- |
