I had three. My father's dad, my mom's dad, and my grandma on my mom's side second husband, who was the only one I actually considered my "grandpa" (never met my father's dad b/c my parents got divorced when I was 6 months old and they lived halfway across the country, then my mom and her dad didn't have the best relationship; though he was around, we weren't very close).

My mom's dad died when I was...19, I believe. My grandpa died when I was 28, and my father's dad somewhere in between IIRC.

Dragonflies are awesome. I saw one that had gotten caught in a spiderweb once. It was a fairly average size dragonfly (like, 3 inch wingspan) but it was a REALLY fucking small spider, like maybe half an inch legspan. It was funny, the dragonfly was thrashing around trying to free itself, and the spider was up in one corner like "fuck this shit". Eventually the dragonfly fought out of the web and dropped to the ground, cleaned itself off for a couple minutes, then flew away.

So...because she had to wait a few minutes, she was suddenly "too nervous to take a meal from McDonald's", because she couldn't see it being made, i.e she saw the story about cops getting poisoned at Shake Shack and believed it.

That went from 0-100 real quick. WTF is wrong with this woman? I mean, besides the obvious disconnect from reality that sometimes "fast" food can be pretty slow. Add to that, I've been going to McDonald's on my own (as in driving) for the better part of 25 years, in many different cities and a couple different states. I have never once been to one where I can see the food prep area through the second window, and in most cases, you can barely see it through the first one, if that.

Cops who just want to have an uneventful week at work, don't want to stand out or stir anything up, get paid, and go home > good cops who actually want to help people > asses on a power trip.

However, as a good cop, you cannot stand against the bad cops, or you're basically screwing yourself over because now all the other cops think you're a traitor. You'll become an outcast who'll be ousted as soon as you make 1 mistake.

The problem is the entire system will screw you over if you don't stand together even with the bad cops.

Pretty much this. It's the 'thin blue line' mentality where it's "us vs them", and you aren't supposed to rock the boat.

Like the saying goes, if you have one 'bad cop' who abuses their position, and nine 'good cops' who don't but also don't act to stop him, then you have ten bad cops.
