I heard if u stop testing then people won't be positive for the virus. If this is true we should stop all testing!! No one will be positive and we can go back to partyingggg

Instead of focusing all his efforts on superficial publicity he could just actually deal with the disease and get good publicity that way.

Imagine if he actually tackled it seriously early on with strict lockdowns and such, so that he'd endure a month or so of economic disaster in order to have things back on track well before November and not have the crisis hang over his re-election campaign.

I mean, he's clearly given up any pretense that he doesn't work for Russia. He's really not trying to hide it anymore, he's just openly sabotaging the country.

I wouldn't say this is working for Russia so much as it is working for Trump. This whole situation is making him look bad, so he's taking steps to prevent that. Pretty much his entire presidency has been about self-serving optics rather than trying to do anything genuinely beneficial.

Yep, but he's so bad at it that it always makes him look worse.

Problem is, with some people he really could shoot someone in public and they'd still back him.

Probably a good idea to soften the massive spike from rioting. People are going to see that months and months of lock down didn't do anything and would be less inclined to keep up with safe practices if everyone's going to ruin it for them anyway.
