That was my first thought. Hell, my Chemistry and Biology books along barely left any room. I hated having to go to my locker. It was on the other side of the high school no where near my classes.

I must have been strange, because I never actually put books in my bookbag/backpack. I used it for my notebooks for each class, would go to my locker before first period to get books 1-3, then again after lunch to trade them for books 4-6.

This might explain why my last bookbag, bought in 1994, is still almost entirely intact. Only thing wrong with it is two of the pull tabs on the zippers broke off.

Some parents use devices as pacifiers. They don't think the kids can entertain themselves, or think watching videos/playing with apps will keep them occupied and not bothering the parent. Also can be "kid wants to play with mommy/daddy's magic rectangle thing and whines when mommy/daddy says no so mommy/daddy gives it to them instead of dealing with a temper tantrum".

Shit, when I was a toddler, I could have fun smacking a stick against a tree because it made a cool noise.

Raimi directed the Tobey MacGuire Spider Man movies, the first two of which were really good since Raimi (per his own admission) is a comic book geek at heart. In fact the cable streaming services are playing Raimi's "Quick and The Dead" this month which is his take on westerns (which I've enjoyed dozens of times btw). He's had more successful movies than just the "Evil Dead" series.

What pisses me off as well are streamers or youtubers who purposely mess up or play poorly so they have longer game times for content.

My favorite (not favorite, I hated it) section was when he wrote about the first Seymour fight in FFX. He advised using Rikku to steal stuff from Seymour's minions while building up AP so you can summon Shiva. But you can summon her right away in that fight, it's part of the story. He's an idiot.

I'm not sure but I think you can still read his over-complicated psych profile/walkthrough of Silent Hill that he did here (he used the name President Evil).

Nah I hate when someone posts a video guide and it seems obvious they don't know either they just happen to eventually figure it out.

Don't list the damn video as a walk-through if it takes you 20 minutes to figure out what can be done in 5 if already knew. I don't use guides often these days but when I do I want it as short and to the point as possible.

Like it also annoys me when they are explaining shit in menus and they gotta toggle over option hover over the right option for like 10 seconds etc. Like bitch I have a pause button if you are going too fast for me.

Dan Birlew's strategy guides (for games like FFX and Chrono Trigger) are chock full of this. It's like he actively tries to make things as difficult for himself as possible (and then recounts that as the way for a player to do it).

I never actually played 3. I got sick of waiting for it, and a lot of the side games that came out between 2 and 3 are honestly pretty terrible

It. Was. A. Fucking. Slog.

1 and 2 were good games, 1 even had one of the most fun boss battles I've ever played (The Phantom). But 3 introduced way too many new mechanics (that you had to use), the story tried to wrap up everything from all the other games so it felt way too bloated (and I say that as someone who knows exactly what went on in the other games), and the ending was a resounding 'meh'.

Plus you had to constantly deal with Organization XIII, or as I call them, The Whiny Emo Prick Squad.

I consider pause and save anywhere features to be more or less mandatory quality of life features for adults who actually have lives.

Losing a half-hour or more of progress because you didn't have time to waste slogging through another 10-20 minutes to get to the next save point or autosave is the sort of thing that can discourage people from wanting to play your game at all. If having to stop to answer your phone, answer your doorbell, or try and prevent your pet from shitting on the rug or your kids from murdering each other or the like leads to you being punished in-game, you're probably going to assume whoever made that game is an asshole.

I don't really give a shit if the developer feels like it somehow invalidates their vision of what the game should be or is annoyed because they feel like save-scumming is "cheating". Fuck you, your game is detracting from my life. There should always be a means of insta-stopping the game and saving for later if something immediate comes up to distract from it.

There's some justification if the game is online multiplayer, but in offline single player games I acknowledge no valid excuse whatsoever.

That was actually a lie he told the publisher. He told them it came from aliens so it would seem "unique" and they'd publish it (since they'd already rejected it two or three times by that point). He's explicitly said in interviews he never had any intention of ever having aliens in it, and he was just lying about it.

Namely, there is no known cause, because it's not important to the story, and the unknown is scarier than knowing. Whatever you can personally imagine will be more frightening or interesting than anything Kirkman could come up with and tell you.

There was recently a comic called Skybound X that had an intentionally bad Kirkman-penned story where the aliens who seeded Earth with the 'zombie virus' showed up and resurrected The Governor into a cyborg, Rick had an alien outfit, it was so goofy.

It's tortured, but Banner and The Ancient One figured out that removing an Infinity Stone at a certain point in time created a branching reality. Their solution to this was to put the stones back at the moment they were taken as soon as the Snap was undone, so they would never have gone anywhere.

After Steve put the Space Stone back, he just stuck around to find Peggy, which in itself created a new branching reality. The implication is that he didn't come back to the 'regular' timeline until after she died.

IV is absolutely my favorite, I played it back when it was II.

At the time I was a mostly arcade gamer, fighting games, racers, shooters, etc. Buddy of mine got an SNES and this game for Christmas, and he literally would not stop talking about it, so I agreed to play the intro to shut him up.

Two hours later, he's like "So are you done?" and I go "Leave me alone, this is awesome!" to his general amusement. The concept of a game that had an actual plot, characters who interacted with each other, the scale of the world, it was a sea change in my gaming life, and RPGs have remained my favorite genre since.

TC, I'd say they're all at least worth a watch, though the quality does vary quite a bit through the years.

He looks fine to me. His hair's gone grey and it must have been a pretty windy day, but other than that, he looks...72.

Oh, absolutely. Look at chicken in the grocery store: without exception, they'll have a sticker or something printed on the wrapper trumpeting that the chickens are antibiotic free. But that's not the chicken company being considerate, it's Federal law. The companies just use it as an advertising hook, banking that enough people will be dumb enough to see that on whatever brand they pick up and assume other brands do have antibiotics in them.

Other things I've seen: frozen chicken nuggets advertised as gluten-free (though in that case, they're probably -- hopefully -- referring to the breading) and vegan tea. Tea is a PLANT. It's already vegan.

Absolutely loved Chrono Trigger and was beyond hyped for Cross. Then I played it. :/

The battle system was needlessly complicated, they could have cut out literally four-fifths of the playable characters without impacting the game, and I'll never forgive them for making that godawful Radical Dreamers tune the main battle music.
