They run a little too hot for my tastes even with the high fan mode switched on it, and turbo preset in BIOS. 75-85 with no overclocking and the rest of my case has good airflow. Gamebyro really doesn't like them much and I tend to swap into stock clocks when I play it. If you have anything in the Nvidia control panel set up like DLSS or fancy new features it can also freak out. Do you use G-sync? That could be another cause for issue. There are also a few obvious ones like you want to turn AA off in the launcher, but use it in the control panel. The baked in AA is hilariously demanding. Lastly, don't recommend anything over 1080p or at most 1440p or else the engine shits the bed. Last thing I'd recommend is a complete clean reinstall of the game. Get rid of all archived/cached mods too. Get rid of it all. If you can get the game on an SSD it will help substantially, but it isn't required. Also, "I know enough about my computer to know its not." Good for you. So do we. The game can run on a potato at 60FPS. I have a backup old rig with an AMD Bulldozer, 4GB RAM and a GTX 760 on it and it can get 60+ fps on the game. It isn't hooked up anymore, but case in point there. Gamebyro is an ancient engine and your computer isn't good enough to run it above 18fps especially since you're piling on top with tons of mods that are probably eating your RAM alive. What if you need to do a driver tweak? We can't help you there without knowing the GPU. What if your processor is too slow? We can't know. What if you don't have enough RAM?
