Paul can see timelines and outcomes, but it's up to him to realize what actions lead him to what vision. For a little further spoilers, You see him and Jamis be friends and wise together, but it doesn't happen. You see him meet Zendaya and realize that'll happen (it does) but how, and why, is ambiguous. I've read all the books so I'm a bit of a nerd, but I really appreciated how much the movie adapted from the story. The tech was dope, especially the Ornithoper's. Baron was better than being a floating patsy. The Voice sounded evil and intense. Jessica was brilliant, and Leto's death was much better than in the book. It felt extremely minimalist and conservative but I appreciated that as, if it follows the book(s) Part 2 should be absolutely bugnuts crazy. Playing on hardest difficulty, just got past the draugr pit so only like an hour in but first impressions are great. Combat is weighty, brutal and flows well. Counters and parries make sense, although the inputs for your light and heavy abilities (idk what they're called, runes or something) feels wonky. Even if they've long since cooled down, I gotta mash LB + RB quite a bit to fire it off sometimes. I only have a few apprehensions. Afraid of the gear / loot pool system. Would really hate if this devolves into the usual +5% damage axe is better than the one I was using, and the I read down all the previews on the axe and shield tree and they... kind of suck. And there's not many of them.
