Looks like it's on a deep sale on Steam right now, but I'm worried about all the grind-heavy comments and how static and dead the universe feels. no factions, politics, conquering stuff. Just seems like a loot & die roguelike.

Salt and Sanctuary. 2D Dark Souls with meaty combat and heavy exploration/loot, good bosses, but really janky art style. Reason I suggest it? You can couch coop it together!

I have no dog in this race, and am also high as hell, but let me contribute some thoughts after reading.

The societal differences in the two party conundrum is not based inherently on either progressivism or narcissism. It's ignorance. Anyone I know that is heavily political has retreated into the walled garden of the societal views that their clique has deemed correct through lionizing forum posts, rallies, talking heads or journalist articles. In their bubble, they photosynthesize the same opinions showering them and shit it back out. It's a gigantic game of telephone. Everyone wants to view the big picture like they're the first to do so, whether it's the environment or economy -- two meta terms that they haven't the faintest about, except that penguins are warm and their payrate is like $9 hourly. They are all convinced they alone have the right ideas, and the only barrier between them and a sense of accomplishment in their world is that they need to banter the shit out of random people at the bar at 2am about it.

Because contribution to society shouldn't be relied on by good samaritans alone, or else the entire world would be dug into the stone age with facebook style thoughts and prayers. There needs to be a collection of money to contribute to society, as most people won't get up to vote let alone chip in to the coffers for a fix-the-road budget when there's new toys to buy. People say that taxation is a representation of greed; I view it as humanity's subtle realization that if left to our own devices, we'd treat ourselves dry.

It's a good series. A lot of fans will say it's almost 'perfect' but I'd say a good 40% of the episodes did nothing for me. The ones that stuck, however, still creep back up in my thoughts. Get a very similar vibe from it that I did from SOMA if you played that game.

I do not do this kind of exercise, but is 1.5 hours not average for most workouts?

It is, maybe even longer is average, but if I had to borrow her computer for two hours and she was on the way home from a long day and probably planning on relaxing for a bit I'd give plenty of heads up. That's just me though. I wasn't thinking about the average length of time on the way home, and the last time we did a workout video together it was just twenty minutes before we stopped and went for a real jog instead. I don't do youtube workouts much

I was on the way home from work and exhausted, my GF called me and asked if she can borrow my computer to do some workout videos. I said sure, since I have speakers and a bigger monitor and my computer is in the living room so more room to work out.

However, obviously coming home from work, I wanted to unwind and had some emails/stuff to do. Figured it was no big deal, said she could use it.

She had a 1.5 hour youtube playlist for pilates loaded up. One and a half hours. She did not tell me this, and me even mentioning that I would want to use it soon, that she didn't tell me it was that long, sent her into a tirade and now I'm in the dog house. She's currently working out in our small ass bedroom and slammed the door on me.

Party composition is important. Get a B and C team fast, and until you're good enough always pack extra food and a healer.

When you look at skills/classes what position from 1-4 they're best at is represented by glowing orange orbs. Keep that in mind -- eg cleric doesn't go in front.

Don't grind one area too much and ignore the boss or they become only yellow missions after a while. Try to even yourself out between all four starting areas.

Using crimson court? Turn it off, but keep estate upgrades on.

Tracer is my best usually but I'm not that great in general.

My best results have been blinking into a group, doing the ultimate at their feet, and rewinding out. I feel like it's babys first synergy moment though -- all the classes can do something like this, and Tracers is the only one I've figured out.

Just got the game last week and still suck royally with every single class. I haven't had one play of the game yet, and have bronze medal'd my way to rank 10.

The closest fit is Tracer, but my aim and tracking ability sucks. I tried Mercy and just constantly get picked off.

Oh yeah and if you wanna coop with a friend avoid the dumb cup system, I dunno why it's still in the game. Just do Torri Gate. You can play the entire game through with the exception of 6-8 duels/defend the bridge/SP missions together seamlessly.

Walls of text above, gonna drop you some concise advice.

1: Get the sword skills that lets you have more ki, and the ones that let you do a ki pulse on dodge. It's invaluable and should have been a default mechanic.

2: Spear/Sword is a good beginner combo. I like Med Stance Sword/High Stance Spear.

3: Encumberance just like Souls. Stay below 70% unless you liked "slow rolling" in souls, too.

4: Avoid all Omoyo damage spells/lasers. Get Healing Pool, Sloth, Confusion and pick one elemental to main when you need it. I liked wind.

5: Your... uhh, animal attack? Big spirit bomb? I forget. It's important, but cheesy. Try to level up spirit to keep up with it.

6: Speaking of spirit in the shrine look at your guardian, it has a list of passives that help you that are behind a soft-cap wall of spirit level. Most usually give full passives by 13-15 spirit. Try to reach that soon.

7: Muskets for life. "talk" to the blacksmith, then request stuff from her. They're passive unlocks that grant you more stuff.

8: Complete the dojo duels as they pop up to increase your tech tree. I didn't realize this until like level goddamn 85.

It was. For me the most emotionally pulling stuff were the various, sometimes hidden/subtle radio transmissions from the boat captain witnessing the end of the world and the burning of Portugal. **** was chilling.

Breath of the Wild had some fantastic (hilarious) mods. I dunno how they do it, but that seems to be the hot new modding scene as of recently.

Possible to use the shell of the game to coax out a custom narrative, or is it more of a modification of the core game eg combat/balance/items/enemy placement?
