Yep, that's a good way to put it. The subject in today's episode personally hit me really hard too, which made it even worse.

I was also watching Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts on Wednesdays too, but I decided to switch to the English dub for that show and watch its episodes on Thursdays along with Dr. Stone (which I also watch dubbed).

Another Wednesday, another day where Oshi No Ko rips my heart out of my chest and then Konosuba gently and safely puts it back in.

Since I made my "I give up, I want the Cardinals to keep losing" post, the Cardinals have won 7 of their last 8 games, including beating the everliving fuck out of the Brewers today by the score of 18-1. If they hadn't dug themselves into a hole of being 14 games under .500 before this stretch, I would be happy. But as it stands, they're just climbing back to mediocrity and I'm dying on the inside.

Since I made my "I give up, I want the Cardinals to keep losing" post, the Cardinals have won 5 of their last 6 games. I hate this team so much.

I've been having a decent amount of success with Marincess so far this season. I've beaten a couple of Tearlament opponents too, including one duel where I dropped a Kaiju on their Rulkallos, returned it to my hand with Aqua Argonaut, then dropped the same Kaiju again on their Kaleido-Heart.

Marincess are the cuter water waifus anyways

Yes, I wanted to build Vernusylph Naturia and Runick Naturia. I needed 5 UR's from this selection pack (3 copies of Mole Cricket and 2 copies of Beast) and I only got 1 of those 5 that I needed out of 140 packs. That's some absolutely horrendous luck. Plus I would still need to craft the Vernusylph cards too. At least I still got a good amount of UR's that I can dismantle for material.

AniList is a better alternative and I already switched over to it. I'd recommend you do the same. It might be easier to wait until MAL comes back so you can export your list from MAL and then import it into AniList, but nobody knows how long MAL might be down due to this. It could be a while.

When was Engage completed? I suppose Nintendo could still be working on updates but if the game is fully done they will probably just announce the next entry / remake.

Apparently, this whole game including the DLC was actually completed over a year before the game's launch. I've talked about it a few times in the past. It was originally supposed to launch in 2020 for the 30th anniversary of the franchise, but wasn't ready at the time due to COVID. Since they were already going to miss the anniversary, they decided to shelf it even longer, partly to stick with the Fodlan cast for a bit longer and release Warriors: Three Hopes first, and partly in hopes that the planned Genealogy remake that was also reportedly in development at the time would be ready to release before Engage like it was originally planned to.

Did you ever wonder why Sigurd had the most presence of all the Emblems in this game besides Marth despite him being one of the only Emblems who never had their game released in English in any way? It's because the remake of his game was originally planned to springboard directly into Engage, but the plans fell through. Nintendo must have gotten to the point where they had to release something from this franchise soon, decided to stop waiting for the Genealogy remake, and released Engage first instead.

Of course the Cardinals pick today, the day that I finally snap and rant about how I want the Cardinals to keep losing, of all days, to suddenly score 12 runs (on the back of 3 home runs by Paul Goldschmidt) and break their losing streak. I swear, they do this shit just to piss me off.

Sadly, no. It didn't come with any of the DLC updates, and I doubt this game will get any more updates unless they decide to surprise us.

Welp, Witch From Mercury ripped my heart out with the latest episode... right before a hiatus next week too. The next two weeks of waiting for this show are going to be painful.

It's quite remarkable how bad the Cardinals have been. You never see that. Their record is only just barely better than the A's record, and they're on pace for a historically bad season.

The Cardinals have been consistently "decent" for a while, but the problem is that they're stuck at "decent" and can't actually make the jump back to being a championship contender. Since their last WS appearance in 2013, they've had a winning record every season and made the playoffs 6 of those 9 seasons... but in all of those playoff appearances they either get bounced in the first round or get absolutely curbstomped in the NLCS while looking like they clearly don't belong there. And this whole time, John Mozeliak has been making the wrong moves (look how the Marcel Ozuna deal and the Jason Heyward signing turned out), trading away the wrong prospects (look at how good Randy Arozarena is doing in Tampa Bay or how Sandy Alcantara did in Miami last year), and making a lot of wrong decisions all around. Even when it feels like he made the right decision by getting Goldschmidt and Arenado, the team around them just isn't good enough to contend, and the primes of their careers are being wasted away. But they kept doing just well enough for Mozeliak to keep his job, and the fans kept showing up for games in droves, so he and the rest of the higher-ups continued to say "this is fine" and stay on their current path of mediocrity.

I'm honestly at the point where I want the Cardinals to keep losing. I want this team to suck. I want the fans to stop coming to the stadium and buying tickets to watch a bad product on the field. Losing isn't fun, but consistent mediocrity isn't fun either. Sometimes you have to go through bad times like this to rebuild and come out of it even better, and I think a period of losing and a total rebuild is a shock to the system that the Cardinals organization needs at this point. Because clearly, what they've been doing for the past decade simply isn't working.

Yeah I've forced myself to finish some shows that I know I'm not enjoying, though you sound more undecided in your enjoyment of this one in particular.

I know I'm not actively disliking it (I would have dropped it by now if I was) but I'm just not sure if I'm enjoying it or not. Like I said, it's hard to me to explain how I feel while I'm watching this show and shortly after I finish each episode.

You ever watch an anime and think to yourself "am I even actually enjoying this?" Because that's how I feel about Magical Destroyers this season. I basically end every episode staring at my screen with an absolutely dumbfounded look on my face thinking "what the fuck did I just watch?", but unlike other weird "what the fuck did I just watch?" shows like Birdie Wing where I get excited to see what weird thing the show does next, with Magical Destroyers I can't even tell for sure if I'm liking the show or not. It's hard to explain, but it feels like every episode just fries my brain to the point of numbness. I'm not sure if I should keep watching.

Nope, it's terrible after the errata. It only works on monsters that can be normal summoned or set, while
the vast majority of good endboard monsters are out of the extra deck. Mind Control or Crackdown would be a better option

I decided to go all-in on the "taking opponent's monsters" part of my Sky Striker deck with 2 Change Of Heart and 2 Triple Tactics Talent on top of the 3 Widow Anchor and 2 Shark Cannon that the deck already runs normally. I just won a duel by attacking with an Accesscode Talker built entirely out of stolen enemy monsters. And yes, if they ever put Change Of Heart to 3, I will craft a third one and run it.

Oh yeah, I forgot the new banlist came into effect. I'm torn on whether I want to craft a 3rd Kagari right now or keep running 2 of her for now and wait for if/when they add Kagari's alternate art into the game like they did for Eldlich and Unicorn. Shizuku and Engage also have alternate art in the OCG (Kagari's is also out in the TCG) so the best-case scenario would be that they add all 3 into the Sky Striker pack at once.

ok i guess im gonna take a break from the game. i legitimately am having the least amount of fun ive had playing yugioh since tearlaments came out. ill just wait a few months for them to semi limit one of their cards i guess.

I haven't started playing for the month yet (I always wait until the third day after the reset to accumulate all of the daily challenges) but I'm hoping that since I'm a stay-in-Gold player who will be starting the season back in Silver 5, I'll run into fewer Tear players in the lower ranks. And on my side account where I have Tears built, I won't be playing the deck myself unless I run into too many other people using them.

I feel sorry for the people up in Platinum though.

What on earth... It's a jank loop caused by negating one of the Graydles. Hilariously it resolves mid way through the loop with a very confusing and rare ruling that the card is simply destroyed to prevent the loop. I believe it's because it's like trying to return to the owner but... simultaneously there's an effect trying to take control of it over and over. I'm not entirely sure cuz it only has partial replay.

Graydle Alligator isn't being negated at all. Marincess Crystal Heart is using its effect to make Marincess Aqua Argonaut unaffected by all other card effects except its own, including Alligator. For some reason (maybe there's something else outside the replay that explains this) this leads to the Argonaut being stuck in a loop between "affected by Crystal Heart, therefore unaffected by Alligator and returned to its owner" and "no longer affected by Crystal Heart, therefore now being affected by Alligator again and taken by the opponent again" so it keeps flipping control.

I don't think the card being destroyed to end the loop is a ruling thing either. In the real life game, the turn player would simply not be allowed to make the attack declaration with Crystal Heart in this situation. Instead, it's a failsafe put into Master Duel itself to stop infinite loops like this that the players can't get out of. If a certain action is repeated too many times without input from the player, it'll automatically put a stop to it by destroying the card it deems responsible for the loop. In this case, I assume the offender was deemed to be the effect of Alligator, but then its "When this card leaves the field, destroy the equipped monster." last effect took Argonaut with it.

Either way, it's still a really wild thing to stumble on.

I kept playing until the bitter end, partly to see how high I could get my gem stash (that I was saving for more variants of best girl Pecorine) and partly to see Peco's smile on my phone every day right up to the end.

Peco's optimistic words on my home screen were especially sad in the run-up to the end knowing what was about to happen. Not even the strength of her princess form was enough to protect her and her friends from this final ending. RIP PriConne Global, it was a fun 2+ years.

Well not quite sure where to go from here, guess I'll figure it out tomorrow? Got to a point in the story where I need to be rank 24 to continue, and I just hit rank 21 and only have a few sidequests at the moment. I feel like I'm missing something, especially when there are people through the 30s already that finished the current story content available.

I would guess it's through grinding the Calyx, Simulated Universe, or other repeatable non-story stuff like that for Trailblaze experience. I'm also at rank 21 like you, but I still have some main story stuff and a couple of side quests that I can do. I've been making sure to do the Calyx as much as the game allows every day, but I haven't used any stamina restores for it yet.

EDIT: Wait, Simulated Universe doesn't give Trailblaze Exp. It's just the Calyx.

The first 2 episodes of the season have been great. Also, if you didn't watch the Ryusui special yet, it is required watching before season 3, so go watch that first.

I finally got my first 5-star character in HSR (via the guaranteed one after 50 pulls on the beginner banner) and I got Himeko. Now time to not do any more pulls and save my resources until Silver Wolf gets added to the game.
