that Indiana Jones gag wasn't originally written as a gag. The script had Indiana Jones do a sword fight. However, when they were filming, it was the end of the day, and they were tired. They didn't feel like doing the sword fight. So they found a quicker way for Indiana Jones to resolve the situation

I know, I've heard the story. I've heard that Harrison Ford was suffering from a stomach problem that day and couldn't do the fight, so they improvised the "why don't I just shoot him" gag/scene the day of the filming and it turned out to be one of the most iconic scenes of the whole movie.

Ranking of Kings S2 has the dub finally coming! Loved E1. I know people are gonna be disappointed that it feels like they are adapting chapters of the manga they skipped to pacing issues, but more little stories with the best boys always makes me happy. ^_^

Also I'm so happy that Ancient Magus' Bride has a second season. The art is still beautiful and I'm so happy to be back in this world. ^_^

You ever watch an anime and think to yourself "am I even actually enjoying this?" Because that's how I feel about Magical Destroyers this season. I basically end every episode staring at my screen with an absolutely dumbfounded look on my face thinking "what the fuck did I just watch?", but unlike other weird "what the fuck did I just watch?" shows like Birdie Wing where I get excited to see what weird thing the show does next, with Magical Destroyers I can't even tell for sure if I'm liking the show or not. It's hard to explain, but it feels like every episode just fries my brain to the point of numbness. I'm not sure if I should keep watching.

Yeah I've forced myself to finish some shows that I know I'm not enjoying, though you sound more undecided in your enjoyment of this one in particular.

My take on it is pretty similar. It very much has "big Trigger energy" but without actually understanding what made Trigger actually good and not just random noise/images. Like some sort of AI generated Trigger.

AniList is a better alternative and I already switched over to it. I'd recommend you do the same. It might be easier to wait until MAL comes back so you can export your list from MAL and then import it into AniList, but nobody knows how long MAL might be down due to this. It could be a while.

Oshi no Ko does it in a very different way, but I definitely get the feels in a vein to how it was with Kaiji. Sort of this "Oh god" feeling when something uncomfortable happens. It definitely has something it wants to say and it isn't going to shy away from saying it.

I was also watching Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts on Wednesdays too, but I decided to switch to the English dub for that show and watch its episodes on Thursdays along with Dr. Stone (which I also watch dubbed).

I tried watching Sacrificial Princess, but I couldn't get into it at all. It felt far too "cheap" and was largely just a not good version of a show I was already pretty loose around (last seasons The Tale of Outcasts). Wednesday is basically just Oshi no Ko -> Konosuba for me. If I want "popcorn" I'll just stick to Dead Mount Death Play as far as this season is concerned.
