I love Exp.Share. Don't miss the days of grinding Pokemon the old way at all, added nothing to the experience except time.

Doesn't excuse them taking away the toggle, though. They could even add it as a cheat code to prevent anyone doing it accidentally but I guess they figure it's not worth the potential hassle.

Holy crap, a previous poster said 3 was good and there was no need for a sequel after that, I thought to myself "There isn't one" and then read your post.

I too had forgotten International existed, and I even watched it.

Doing "evil" things like stealing, pickpocketing, looting homes, etc., where there's no actual consequence programmed into the game for the affected and everyone just goes on with their lives as normal, doesn't bug me. It's just a gameplay element that lets you play with stealth a bit, in that case.
Oh yeah definitely this. That's something I actually hope the next Elder Scrolls improves on, a mechanic where if you steal enough from a household you can actually leave them in a bad way but also vice versa where if you start depositing riches in places, they can benefit too.

Would totally do a Robin Hood inspired character.

I don't particularly take much joy in it. I tried an evil run in BG3 and I still couldn't stop myself being nice to my companions at least, even if I was murdering everything else and it made no sense. Even as far back as the original KotOR which I did a complete full evil run in, there are memories from back then that must be decades old that still are a bit heart-wrenching. With that said it's not always so black and white, I've picked "bad" decisions in otherwise virtuous runs which to me still felt right within the context even if it's not something a pure good character would do so I'm thankful for having the option regardless.

I am long past the point of doing things like going on rampages in GTA and the like though, in 5 I don't think I ever once did it of my own accord. It's kinda sad in a way, I don't even remember when that stopped being fun to me.

I actually really loved it. I finished the game at over 70 hours and I could have kept going. Enjoyed it more than the first, combat felt much better to me.

I will say though, once all the vocations are maxed I can imagine the boredom really starting to set in fast but I still have a few left which is enough for me to want to circle back at some point and finish those out.

I never knew how to really play the physical card game but I think that was more to do with being young and too impatient, the same way I'm sure tons of families played by their own Monopoly rules rather than have to basically do lectures to an unwilling audience and constantly consult the instructions.

That said once the Gameboy Color game came out, I learned how to play properly relatively quick and it was great. Still never played an actual match in real life, though.

This seems to be a Bandai Namco thing. The first Digimon Cybersleuth game was delisted (from Playstation at least) a couple years back and only the sequel is available. I wonder if they think it'll funnel sales to the newer entries. For me it'd have the opposite effect.

Pretty ominous portent for an all digital future though either way.

This, though I think I had drift for quite a long time and just wasn't sure. It was a bit of a weird one because it only effected a couple games, but it made walking forward at full speed impossible without moving at an angle. Not quite enough to make me replace the whole thing.

It wasn't until the speakers on the controller both started to crackle and barely play the audio that I caved and got a new one.

Pay attention to the vending machines when you come across them. Not only are the items inside poorly textured but even the art on the outside is a blurry mess.

Was really jarring coming from Infinite Wealth because those games tend to do a great job with those kinds of details.

Trespasser is a direct continuation of the DAI story. You probably should play it at some point before Dreadwolf.
The problem is that it came out months (or more?) after I had finished DA:I. So I'd moved on, forgotten how to play, didn't want to spend more money and maybe had lost my saves by that point (don't recall if I backed them up). There's no way I'm going through the whole game again (it was huge) and even if I did start at the DLC, I'd have to drop the difficulty to the most basic option because I imagine it'll wreck me being post-game and having no idea how to play anymore.

This exact same scenario actually happened with DA2, I had no idea DA:I was a continuation of DA2 DLC so I spent a lot of Inquisition like "Huh!? Who is this guy?" and never really connected to the main plot because of it. I think it's a lame way to set up a sequel.

I do think there's a balance to be had when it comes to Kratos and his anger. They're not in conflict with him maturing, he need only learn to control it.

Mechanically (and personally for me, narratively too) I do find it very boring how he now tends to avoid fights, even when pushed into it for good reason. I'd much prefer when he ends up in a situation where he HAS to go on the offensive, if he just embraced it and we got elements of his old self for the duration instead of reluctance/guilt/shame. His new attitude is pretty typical of a protagonist which makes it less exciting.

The learning curve is steep starting out and every early fight feels like the enemies are hammering you in comparison to the damage you can put out. It totally turned around for me once I hit level 5, I never really struggled again after.

Also having started a new game, the beginning isn't as unapproachable as it seemed. Enemies still hit really hard but after knowing your way around all the mechanics (especially positioning, very important) it's not nearly so tough.

Don't forget you can lower the difficulty too, it's what it's there for. I know for some weird reason difficulty options have become kinda controversial (again, seemed like we were past it at one point) but it's much better than not playing the game at all.
