The data shows that most gamers play a game like Fortnite or a sports game for most of the year and maybe will be briefly distracted by something else before going back to it. It already is the norm but it's probably not because of vocal online gamers. They're just quickly becoming a loud minority compared to the younger audience. Warframe and Path of Exile are the only examples I can think of that do it right. Even then, Warframe has definitely attempted to gouge it's users but the player base throws a fucking fit and the devs immediately back down. --- I don't believe in belts.
