Is it worth watching the anime?

Ive watched all of season one based on the first game. Then the first episodes of the two arcs of the next season. I was unfamiliar with the characters of Danganronpa 2 at the time and I didnt watch ahead to avoid spoilers. Now I completed the main trilogy, I think I should go back and continue watching.

Depends what you want out of the talent development plan. Like, it's not a fun board game for its own sake. But it has uses for creating characters to take into the dungeon later and it has some pretty cool character interactions.

What about the second game's ending ruined it for you?

That it was all just a video game and that Jabbawock Island wasnt a real place in the story. They went through simulated experiences that were not actually real (to them). Its the modern day equivalent of it was a dream all along trope, although people did still die.

I've not touched that yet.

I also agree that the big reveals of 2 and 3 at the end of each game just messed up my perception of those games. i was enjoying the story just fine before it.

It didn't feel like the stakes were that high. It just felt weird. Chapter 6 was the weakest chapter and class trial of the game for me. Sometimes having a mystery looming overhead to solve is better than solving it and finding out the truth. But it was good seeing everyone again though.

I was thinking how the mastermind had just been hanging around and not really played a significant role in the game until they revealed their identity. The final execution (if you can call it that) was very lame, an unfitting way to the end the series. And the epilogue should have been longer and the survivors being shown to leave. I guess it was up to the player to imagine what would happen to them.

I will have to replay the very start again just to see how things are now that I know the truth.

they better not just pad it out with more lazy rereleases of old games

ports, remasters and remakes fill in the gap between creating new games which can now take a few years for the big games. plus as has been said, not everybody owned a Wii U, so its games would be new to many people - and they're still good games.
