I think the problem with that argument is that we all know it's bullshit. Rush wasn't a good dude. He said some vile things in his day. However, the people celebrating aren't celebrating because Rush was a scumbag. They are celebrating because he's not on thier side. If Ben Shapiro died, there'd be tons of celebrating as well and he's not 1/4th as bad as Rush. And lets not forget the celebrating that happened when Peterson got ill and his views are even more tame then Shapiro's. He said some vile things in his day. However, the people celebrating aren't celebrating because Rush was a scumbag. They are celebrating because he's not on thier side. If Ben Shapiro died, there'd be tons of celebrating as well and he's not 1/4th as bad as Rush. And lets not forget the celebrating that happened when Peterson got ill and his views are even more tame then Shapiro's. Fuck, I remember when Total Biscuit died from cancer and all the progressive nuts on Twitter were jerking off to that news and TB wasn't even conservative at all(he was just a bit involved in Gamergate). The reality is, this isn't about Rush, it is about the deranged mindset that had taken hold in American politics where people get gleefully excited at the death of any big figure on the opposing side. </quote> ...
