This. I don't play Fallout for this shit, and it is an annoyingly larger part of the game than I would like. I dont mind settlement building it can be fun Ive built some cool things in 4 and 76. The problem is FO4 had way too many settlements for us to create, when instead the game wouldve been better off with only a few player settlements and more pre built areas. Hell 1 settlement but you can place the workbench almost anywhere like in 76 wouldve been perfect imo. The best part about Fallout is exploring, but there is zero exploration involved with our own builds and that is why I really dislike 4. --- Dinosaurs built the pyramids. |

Supposedly, New Vegas wasn't retconned after all, the showrunners just accidentally flubbed the timeline. According to Todd Howard, Shady Sands got nuked shortly after the events of that game (which took place in 2281), not in 2277 (the year Fallout 3 happened). People who paid attention from the beginning knew new vegas wasnt retconned. It was obvious the nuke came after the fall of shady sands in 2277. this isnt news, it is just kinda sad how mindless people are now, they legit need to be told the obvious from beth/ show runners. there was no mistake made by the show, except for them thinking that the audience was smart enough to understand how time lines work. Pretty much my sentiments as well. The nuking of Shady Sands in the year 2277 pretty heavily contradicts New Vegas' timeline, which is admittedly a thorn in my side. But my ultimate reaction to this was going to be determined by how the show handled the fall of the NCR, and in the end they handled it about as well and respectfully as could have been expected. I was afraid Shady Sands was going to be an afterthought, but not only did it become heavily integral to the plot, the reasoning / perpetrator behind the nuking actually fit well in both the show's narrative and the overall franchise lore, instead of feeling like the random act of some jackass / throwaway faction. im not sure shady sands was nuked in 2277. But lets be real these people pay attention to the show and dont rely on everyone else to form an opinion. fallout new vegas is one of my favorite games period, Fallout 2 is my favorite fallout title. you dont see me whining. However, if you're a fan of FO1, 2 and NV lore and are invested into the world building... you're going to fucking hate this. fo 1, 2 and new vegas are my favorite games in the series and I loved the show. As far as we know there are only 3 people from 31 who are active. One is on the surface, and I dont think the other two are capable of doing it alone. dont listen to the nay sayers, the show didnt retcon new vegas, at the worst it added new stuff to the timeline. --- Dinosaurs built the pyramids. |
