I definitely do not understand extreme activities

I get most of them. I can even get behind underwater caving up to a point. Squeezing in those tiny ass tunnels is definitely not on the list of approved activities for me.

Seems counterproductive but at least he's nice.

Grim Reaper has enough work to do without some dorcas getting themselves killed in an underwater cave.

You know how hard it is to reap souls when your cloak is drenched in seawater?

That sign was placed up in response to a well known amateur diver who disappeared in the caves. They never recovered his body, though there are some conspiracy theories that he was never in the caves in the first place. There are a couple of YouTube documentaries about it.

If you want to dive there, you have to ask the caretaker for a key. He won't give it to you if you are planning to go alone even if you are an accredited diver.

Well that was certainly sad. If they had just thought to use a separate team to investigate the dry tunnels to see if there was a connection they might have found him. They had 3 weeks to do so, it seems feasible.

Poor Pieter death's is one of the worst imaginable.

Caving is such a fucking terrifying and dumb activity

Deep water scares the hell out of me

Cave diving sounds like a great way to give myself a heart attack.

Hell, I couldnt even last more than ten minutes playing Subnautica and there isnt even scary shit at the start.

Yeah, I've been in one of those tourist caves you can walk through and that's as far as I want to get. No way I'd go crawling around in some cave system where I could get stuck in a hole or crushed in a cave-in, etc. And then add deep sea diving to the mix where there's even more that can go wrong, and it's a big Do Not Want.

Even that tourist cave I went to made me feel claustrophobic in parts because there were areas where you had to kneel down to move forward.

That's a sign in New Hampshire? I thought that would be a sign around Arizona where those German tourists think they can handle hiking in the summer heat for 7 hours.

The guy who played the bad werewolf (not Lupin) in Harry Potter died in Death Valley. Pretty sure he was an Aussie, the Outback.

Mount Washington in NH holds the record for the strongest non-cyclonic wind speed on Earth, at 231 mph. Structures on the summit have to be chained to the ground so they don't blow away

Cave diving is one of the most dangerous activities in the world.

This guy does good short stories that don't go into gruesome detail and don't drag out each story like Mr Ballen.

Cave exploration is mixed in there with underwater cave exploration

So you have to survive being hurled off the mountain to die of hypothermia?
