I've read most of what Ulti's written up on the wiki, and it's pretty much never bringing politics up. The things he gets up in arms about tend to just be obnoxious fandoms spamming up the board (Deus Ex, Halo, LoL), or his usual bugbears about Celda and post-merge Squaresoft. This thread is pretty much the only time he's ever even mentioned politics to my recollection. And if the goal is to attack him for going on tangents, then you might as well just ask him to just reduce his entire recap to him just posting "Match was at X/Y throughout these periods" like a fucking bot.

Of that list, here is my opinion on who is actual 16 seed material, and by this I mean comparable to the NCAAs where they have the 16 for a reason and would have no prayer of ever winning a match regardless of opponent.

ETIQUETTE
1. An above-average level of activity is expected in this game. You are not expected to post for the whole 48 hours, but you are expected to keep up to speed with the topic. Posting only a handful of times a day is not an acceptable level of activity. I will modpoke you if you have not posted for 24 hours and have not brought it up to my attention previously. Do not attempt to bet, or stake a claim on outside forces during the game i.e. do not 'swear on your mother's life' that you are telling the truth or threaten 'to quit mafia' if something doesn't go the way you want it to. This will result in a swift modkill, as soon as it's brought to my attention.
7. Play nice. Deliberate intimidation, harassment or verbal abuse of another player in a malicious and uncalled for fashion may lead to a modkill. Mafia is a game first and foremost, and while your own fun should be priority #1, everybody else's should be priority #1a.
8. No warnings and no mercy for anything I deem across the line on the above rule. Consider this your only warning.
9. If I forgot an obvious rule, too bad, don't break it, etc. I reserve the right to modify these rules within reason if I forgot a rule or something similar.

OTHER NOTES
1. I may or may not write flavor for fakeclaiming with. Ask me if you want it. The sooner you ask, the more likely you are to get it before you urgently need it.
2. Don't discuss spoilers. They probably exist in your role PMs. But discussing them is exceedingly pointless and may spoil somebody on a book/show they've yet to read or are currently reading.

RULES
GENERAL
0. Don't be an ass-hat. I might modkill.
1. Mafia is fundamentally a game of the uninformed majority (the TOWN), against the informed minority (the MAFIA). It is the town's job to eradicate the mafia completely, and the mafia's job to survive to a point where numbers are such that they cannot lose.
2. The town eliminates the mafia via lynches, which occur once a day. Everyone gets one vote which they may place on whoever they feel is scum. Whoever receives the most votes is 'lynched' and removed from the game.
3. During the night phase, the mafia gets its chance to even the numbers slightly by killing one townie, removing them from the game. All power roles (under most circumstances) also get to perform their actions.
4. Upon a player's death, their role PM will be posted in the topic.
5. The game ends when one faction meets its victory condition. A player will win, even if they are dead, so long as their alignment triumphs.
6. Do what the host says. The host shouldn't ask you to break a rule, but if he says to do something that violates something else, do it. Feel free to take it up with him in private beforehand, but do it.

VOTING
1. You vote in the format '##Vote: Player', in bold. You can remove your vote by posting '##Unvote', also in bold. You can also choose to '##Vote: No Lynch'. I will be very strict on this formatting.
2. The lynch is decided on a plurality system. Once one player receives votes from a majority of the playership left in the game, the day immediately ends, and that player is lynched. Failing that, every day has a time limit of 48 hours. The player in the lead at that point will be lynched.
2a. If there are an even number of players alive, No Lynch only requires half of the players to vote for it. Everything else requires an actual majority.
3. In the event that two or more players are tied in votes at the end of the day, sudden death will occur. A thirty minute extension will begin once indicated by the host, and only the tied players may be voted for. The moment one player emerges as the vote leader, the day immediately ends, and they will be lynched. If there is no change after thirty minutes, the day will end with No Lynch.
3a. In a tie between No Lynch and a player (or players), No Lynch automatically wins, with no tiebreaker.

ROLES
1. Before the game begins, you will receive your role from the host. This will contain your flavor character, your alignment, and your role, as well as some flavor text explaining your character and role. As bad as said flavor text is, I worked hard on it!
2. You must keep this role to yourself. Sharing it with anyone else within or outside of the topic will lead to your immediate modkill, as well as possibly anyone who sees it.
3. You may choose to reveal your role in-game, but you must paraphrase anything that isn't your flavor name, alignment, and role (i.e. the flavor text that came with your role - You can discuss this, but you must paraphrase it). Incidentally, if there are any other communications with me that you wish to reference for whatever reason, you must paraphrase those as well.
4. All TOWN Vanillas have the following in their flavor:

This is the Vita version! Released in 2015 in Japan and Asia only. Figured it would be a nice thing to celebrate the Vita's 7th anniversary in Japan.

The special part of this Taiko game is a RPG mode where you outfit your drum with various equipment and weapons (lifted directly from Tales games. Same company, I guess, but still) and fight monsters by playing through the songs. This is the one game that has Falcom tracks in it (Ys II and Cold Steel openings) so both Adol and Rean appear as specials that you can use to do 50 damage to an opponent.

There's only one difficult trophy in the game, and it's why it took me a long time to finish - to clear 25 Oni tracks. Luckily, clearing a song on both regular and shin-uchi modes counts as two songs cleared, so only 13 songs need to be finished. It's still a difficult task as V Version Oni songs start at 6* and you'll need to clear some 7*s (or higher) to finish this one off. In comparison, the recent PS4 game has Oni tracks starting at 2* and there's even a DLC song which has a 1* Oni track. I was only able to clear seven of them when I played it back in 2015, but after playing the PS4 version for a while I managed to come back to this and finish off another six to complete it.

This is my second rhythm game platinum this month, and I'm not done yet! Time to tackle those Persona games for my next few platinums.
