I know. The ping and his entry in the playerlist was the only thing ctrl+f of his username found in this topic.

Because of this, I said I wouldn't be surprised if the 19 not-Shad players in this game forgot that Shad was in the game.

Also, Ed, Scare is generally active and provides substance but is rarely entirely business. At least in my experience. I'd like you to be a bit clearer though: what about this game so far makes him worthy of a vote from you? Are you saying that Scare this game has only provided nonsense?

I am saying it is mostly nonsense and thus the reason for wanting to pressure.

I mean it's bound to happen where you play a game where you're completely right then another where your "confirmed town list" is very wrong. Nature of the game, and it's not like last game was the first game for most of us. But this right now is just a case of Scare being Scare, though I'm inclined to believe he's town because of it.

Then this post which is... fluff defense of book of confirmed town? Or explanation for failure? Then just kinda handwave for Scare and puts a loose Townread on him.

Before I made my posts on Reg and Eaed, I felt more confident on Terra, so I think my gut is more convinced than my brain. But my gut is usually right so *shrug*

No complaints, just an observation. And explanation doesn't equal an excuse.

And to the second point, deeming that post fluff doesn't make much sense. I was justifying the principal of making a reads list, and that no one but scum knows each player's alignment so you're almost guaranteed to be wrong at some point, this much is fact. And I thought the Scare read was more evident since most of us here have played with him, but at the time it was a reference to him actually reaching out and playing and scum hunting rather than lurking and waiting to respond to someone taking the initiative first as I've seen him frequently do as scum. To a lesser extent the referenced "book of confirmed town" which is definitely a pretty bold action coming from him this early as scum are often slower to pull the trigger on "confirming" others as town.

Red looked better to me upon rereading for similar reasons. He actually seems invested from the jump unlike the times I've seen him as scum. Plus early breadcrumbing and of a very specific character definitely give him a pretty big edge.

IGCD people are definitely looking too much into. Fluff and shitposting in the early game are nothing new to him in particular. And if you actually read his posts, they're interspersed with some level of intent to play as we should such as calling out eaed and plum. Doesn't help that none of the votes on him look particularly good to begin with.

I can feel the eaed vibes because of how defensive he's being and his rather weak logic while voting someone, but I'm going to have to mill over that one some more.

I'm not just referring to the most recent game. I know I've played at least one more game with scum Scare and I recall him being similarly reclusive. Here he was the first one to stick out his neck and for reasons I already said before I think it's worth crediting him for. Even since then nothing in particular lines up as "scummy" so far, so he's definitely a town lean in my book.

Obviously it's foolish to outright saw "omg must be town for sure" but I don't see what's wrong in aligning his current play with leaning on the town side more than scum.

Backing down now would not convince those that think I am scum that I am not scum. My vote on Scare is currently useless but I dont have a better read at the moment because the game has been more about me than anything else at the moment.

The thing I am struggling with right now I dont really understand the case against me. Han says he is 98% sure i'm scum because I put a vote on someone. I was attempting to apply pressure because I want to play more aggressive this game. He then targets me as trying to protect myself from being out there with my questions but I was simply asking for other peoples opinions. It is called gathering information is it not? So, as far as I can tell right now I'm being called scum because I'm trying to scumhunt? And looking at the votes against me has anyone besides Han actually provided reasoning or just jumping on.

IGCD, no. Ben, no. HB, no. Scare, counter-vote. Neablis kind of did but then waited for someone else to vote first feels a little bit like what Han accused me of.

I'm wary of HB in this moment though because since we're holding other games in such high regard he did a lot of following others on mislynches as scum in smash mafia. Could also be bad play but who am I to judge that.

I am going to rant for a second and say how much I hate that 'bad' terminology. Everyone has a different way of thinking and determining logic so it extremely subject and you can't really determine if it is good or bad until you get the results. But I digress.
