Damn this poll has some shitty options

Sad we've had to go through this as US citizens.

Only half decent president on the list is Obama.

Obama wasn't perfect and didn't deliver on a lot of what many including I wanted him to deliver on. But he's done some positive things like the ACA act, withdrawal (for the most part) from Iraq, and even Iran was on a path towards normalized diplomatic relations with the Iran nuclear deal.

I disagree with how he handled Libya, but even then a lot of that was due to pressure from Hilary Clinton

I'm not even much of a fan of Obama, but the other options are so bad, it makes him look pretty good

Nappa has a power level of 8000.

Raditz is 1200

So if average is some point between them 2000 - 4000 for an average would be fair.

Raditz, Nappa and Vegeta were among the last known Saiyans alive at that point.

When the Saiyan civilization was still around as a whole average Saiyan was probably at least Raditz level or higher.

And that's strong enough to pack a good punch. Not too mention when they go Great Ape

before meeting the House?

So I just got out of Boulder City. And Victor met me and made conversation. Afterwards he left traveling towards New Vegas and I followed him out of curiosity. Along the way there were some fiends he came in contact with. He killed one, but the other killed him using energy weapons and turned his body into an ash pile.

I'm wondering, is this a game breaking potential bug?

I ask because I've heard when meeting Yes Man, if you kill him with an energy weapon, you stop the potential for that Quest path because it turns his body into an ash pile so the game doesn't recognize whether to respawn him into a new Securitron robot.

I'm debating whether to restart a different save or continue on this path because it's more organic

I like living in NYC so far (about 6 weeks) but I still wouldn't want to do it long term. People talk about how you can find anything you want at any time but the only things around here are shitty corner stores and smatterings of pizza, and Mexican food, and a few other things. Even the couple of grocery stores around here have awful produce and less selection combined than a local Harris Teeter back in SC. I have to take a 20 minute subway ride to get to anything of real note. And it's not like I live way out in the Bronx or something. I'm on the upper east side. And it is absolutely fucking filthy.

Understandable

an executive named Don Mattrick?

He said that if you want backwards compatibility with old games instead of playing Xbox 360 then your truly backwards

He's also the guy who introduced the always online DRM idea and other stuff that was looked poorly upon by customers.

Halfway through the 360s lifespan when they would update their compatibility, they stopped once he joined the company as the had of their gaming division. He was also the former CEO of... Zygna.. the company that makes those mobile and social media shovelware games. No wonder he would view backwards compatibility in that light. Maybe if they continued working on that aspect of their systems it would have paid off even more now with much wider backwards compatibility available. Emulators that devs work on for free have so of course a company like Microsoft with paid software and hardware devs and engineers who have direct access and expertise on their consoles architecture should be able to do an equal or better job in the time. If they were allowed to.

That's really crazy to think about, how one person changing in leadership can change the while trajectory of where they were going as a company.

Now from recent news and features Microsoft has been leaning in more to backwards compatibility. Over time hopefully that pays off in the long run

Also maybe one day Sony will be able to release functional PS2-PS3 ackwards compatibility but I know they will be hard as well especially with the PS3.

Also apparently 4 of the detectives that worked the OJ Simpson case were convicted for planting evidence

I know I might be late but I was born in 93 so I wasn't there to know any details about the OJ Simpson case. Just have heard that he was guilty but got acquitted somehow

But after learning these details it makes sense that he got acquitted because the evidence send like he's actually Not Guilty.

Why is it that some people try to make it seem like he only got off because the Jury wanted revenge because he was Black and historically Black people have tended to get unequal treatment in the justice system? With details like this and others I can see why he was acquitted now after the fact. Definitely not enough evidence to convict beyond a reasonable doubt

At this point it seems like they've given up exclusives for more stuff to be available on pc, and haven't ever really recovered from the Xbox one fiasco

Yeah the Xbox One PR failure, the always online feature and the mandatory Kinect really did them in. They never recovered PR and momentum wise from that.

Also the name of the console was pretty silly. They haven't had good naming schemes since the 360.

Honestly, their best bet is to sell their next consoles at a loss. Powerful, but affordable. All of their games release at the same time on PC, so they need a reason for people to buy an Xbox over a PC.

Yeah I'm thinking a console for console gamers who want the best experience, but don't want to cross over to PC / aren't comfortable with it

If it comes out and has compatibility with all prior Xbox games and even many PC games as well at launch it can be a hit. The key would be the ease of use of it. It would have to be a very easy to use streamlined experience. Kind of like how Steam Deck streamlined the portable PC gaming market. But it would have to be even better than that, if it is though it could be a big hit

Without some decent exclusives, it's dead in the water. That'll be especially true if it ends up being more expensive than Sony's next offering.

What if they make a console that's so advanced that exclusives are made for it just because it's not possible on the other consoles? Like Far Cry Instincts

I saw there were reports that they may be listening to Intel pitch their technologies for their next CPU.

This made me think that they may pivot away from AMD with their next Console.

I think next console gen they're going to really do their best to market themselves as the premier premium gaming platform in terms of graphics and quality and features.

I think they might switch to using Intel for their CPUs and even maybe back to Nvidia for their GPUs and go with a combo developed from the ground up there focused on defeating the AMD/AMD combo that the PS6 is probably going to go for.

Sony probably won't switch up the strategy that's been working for them really well since PS4. And they probably want to keep things as similar as possible so they can eventually widen their backwards compatibility support over the years.

Microsoft may be more willing to experiment from the typical hardware conditions they've been using from Xbox One, One X, Series S and X

They might want to use Nvidia instead because of their big advantage in AI, DLSS and Ray Tracing/Path Tracing. They might even boost their backwards compatibility/game preservation features to the point where they're enhancing old games with not only their internal resolution and framerate, but they're adding very high quality Ray Tracing/Path Tracing and other enhanced features using AI to processing as well as the way back to the original Xbox. They also have been diving headfirst into AI as a company in general recently and it's been within great for them. So they might want to collaborate with Nvidia and Intel to continue on that. Might have them all work together to build a great console from the ground up

Also they have the reports that they may allow users to pay PC Platform games like Steam Games, EA Store, Epic, Ubisoft etc store front games.

They might be tired of getting heavily beaten sales wise by Sony so they might try to pull out all the stops next generation.

Recently Microsoft said their next generation console is going to be the biggest leap technological leap in a generation yet so who knows. That plus other things I've been thinking about and seeing had gotten me thinking.

I feel like they really want to make a system that is so much stronger than the next PlayStation that it's like a half generational leap over it. Kind of like how the OG Xbox was so advanced you can have games line Far Cry, Elder Scrolls and other games on it that were just not possible on the PS2

I say ask this as a historical PlayStation/Nintendo handheld/PC gamer. I can see a Dark horse scenario though where they come back from behind and surprise everyone.

Not really mentioning Nintendo right now because they have their own niche and are consistently successful sticking to their own lane. Mainly talking about the high end console machines at the moment

Just some random thoughts/rambling. What do you guys think?

Just wondering. I think transitioning into making and supporting user created Video Walkthroughs and just a larger social media presence in general would grow the site and keep it strong.

IGN for example has 18.1 million YouTube subscribers and GameStop has 5+ million

I know GameFaqs is not the same type of website but maybe diversification in some of these areas could drive more engagement and be users, more ad revenue etc.

So maybe this site doesn't have to constantly be sold from owner to owner to organizations that don't actually care about the actual well-being of the site
