Because the testimony that he gave in the civil case was misrepresented.

He never said he gave her anything against her will. Actually what he gave Constand was actually pain medicine for a headache because she requested it. It was not qualudes. The media conflated past events where he used qualudes with women before sex with this situation with Constand.

He also went to church and many other events with Constand numerous times. So the evidence that he sexually assaulted her was very weak.

This is pertaining strictly to the case he was falsely convicted on.

As far as prior cases involving qualudes. He never ever stated that he gave any woman qualudes against their will. Qualudes were a drug of choice back then like how weed and Molly's are some drugs of choice today that people use today willingly.
