Like, I could see Tulane and/or Army sneaking at the bottom of the rankings for consistently stomping the rest of the conference all season, but only ranking Tulane and having them above almost the entire Big 12 is just nonsense.

It's just stupid that this actually has a chance of happening. There is no good reason for Tulane to be ranked as high as they are. Their losses don't look very good, and they haven't really beaten any good teams. Am I missing something here?

A lot of people believe the Trump rhetoric that it should be decided by states and claim they don't have any moral objection to abortion.

People just love the idea of small government. The issue doesn't matter, they'd prefer leaving literally everything up to the states rather than the federal government. If there was a movement suggesting abortion rights should be decided at the county/municipal level, people would support that instead.

Why are so many people convinced Trump is going to eliminate term limits? He doesn't really care all that much about the actual job of being president, just the attention and the immunity from prosecution. He doesn't need to be president for life to have either of those things at this point.

I don't know, but Trump plus nonvoters will be a majority of the electorate. So there's definitely a good argument that a majority of Americans aren't really opposed to another Trump presidency, at least. That's practically the same as wanting it.

Probably not. Their base doesn't want that, it's not costing them enough support to give Democrats full control of the government, and there's no real way for the party to force a change anyway.

Technically they could create new red states to get the Senate and legislature numbers they'd need. The House would be tougher to rig, but they could always just reduce the number of members so that each state gets exactly one representative.

But really, it'd be much easier to just declare a dictatorship instead.
