How are most modern constitutions based on America's? From what I can find, most nations guarantee a lot more rights for the people. Also, nobody tries to copy the structure of our government (because it doesn't really work).

I dont know how you guys do it with these super long campaigns.

The trick is that most people don't really pay any attention to upcoming elections until around September. Or they get tired of never-ending campaign coverage and opt to ignore politics entirely. The important thing is that only total weirdos actually care about this stuff most of the time.

I'm surprised there aren't more states that split their EC votes in some way. Think of all the swing states the GOP has gerrymandered. Why not implement Nebraska/Maine style district votes to take advantage of that? Maybe even give the extra two remaining EC votes to whoever wins more districts rather than the state winner. Imagine how screwed the Democrats would be if WI/AZ/GA/NC already had most of their votes locked in for the GOP. It's like they're barely even trying to rig the election system.
