Was trying to make a blight build/contagion build really fast as I never tried one before. Got a few statues and it said reward would be a chaos orb, but it never gave me an orb. Only did 2 statue fights but no rewards for killing the enemy at all.

Gave up for now, I will prob go back and play a bit more but if the special mechanic isn't that great, I'll just play a normal char instead of league since I have like insane amounts of currency and a ton of items already in normal.

Not sure if the new atlas mechanic is in normal already or not though, but i looked at it and it doesn't really seem that special great, so I don't really care.

Day is over again and I mostly just slept lol. Freaking woke up at 2pm today feeling half dead from sleeping too much. I was on this board a ton during the 6 months before she passed and everyone was very supportive. Still really appreciate that:)

The little girl I was watching has her birthday today as well, you are birthday twins. Sadly the party was postponed for 2 weeks because of a covid scare at her daycare again, so it won't be till the 20th now.

Am kinda happy that something positive like her birthday is happening on Feb 5th so it's not just a negative day for me in the future.

Been a hard past 5 years, and the previous 7 years before that were pretty freaking hard as well. I have been valiantly fighting to find a purpose in the world and get back to some kind of living, but things just kept getting in the way. Every time I tried to start teaching again, BAM something came up. This last one, Covid, has been a real roadblock (not just for me for everyone of course).

Also finding many of the things i used to enjoy becoming less of an incentive. I even thought I lost my taste buds due to covid, but I can still taste things, I just don't have the joy from it, the motivation to eat, that I used to. I have tried a few medications to fight depression, but that doesn't really seem to help, and I'm not really depressed, just apathetic without much to motivate me. Even helping others, which I have still done as much as possible, just doesn't motivate me as much.

I kinda am becoming disassociated with joy, with the pleasure of life, which makes it harder for me to empathize with others and want to expend my dwindling energy and motivation to make their lives better. The amount of effort it takes me to wake up at 6 am to watch a friends daughter for them for 3 weeks because their daycare closed down due to covid, is way more then I feel like I am helping them by not needing to hire a babysitter. It's not worth it for me to drive into town to volunteer because it is so hard on me to drive and I just don't feel like I'm making much of a difference, at least not enough of one to be worth the effort.

Some of it may just be getting old, mixed with how much harder everything is now with covid. The cost of everything is skyrocketing as well, and even just going out requires wearing a mask all the time (which I do but hate). I have a trip to the bay area coming up this month, I am hoping going to some of my favorite places to eat will spark my appetite at least, and i am getting to see a few relatives while there.

I wonder if this is just the eventual way everyone turns out, but I have seen many people older than me with a zest for life. My uncle who is 15 years older than me just returned from traveling all over south africa for instance and loved it so much he can't wait to go back. People are still enjoying life, motivated and productive after covid, but it seems like almmost an overwhelming obstacle at this point, the final wall between me and getting back into a normal life like I had in the past. Even having friends is hard and I consider avoiding them due to the energy it requires.

Is this just me or are any of you also struggling lately? I felt like I was overcoming things a few times but then something like getting pnuemonia for 3 months or the last 2+ years of covid lockdowns etc would just obliterate my efforts. Hope things get better soon. I have had my passport for over a year now and really want to travel to Europe, something I have wanted to do my whole life. I was hoping the mask requirements would go away, but I may have to just give up on that and go while they are still in place. At least I do still have a few goals like that to look forward to.

Dreamcast and Gamecube both had PSO.

Admittingly we now have Zenith VR which is similar but in VR and you can fly in it.

It's still in EA, and has a way to go, but it's got really good potential and is a huge step up from PSO.

So maybe society has peaked but games? Games are going strong. As long as games continue to improve who cares about society.

Like in As good as it gets, I would be so lucky as to find men attractive. Hell, I would be dating right now. I can't handle mentally the idea of being responsible for a woman, and even though I believe women are equals etc, I can't NOT take care of a woman I'm in a relationship with, and feel/be responsible for them. Therefore I totally avoid relationships now.

If I could just find men attractive It would solve that problem cause I'm totally fine with a guy taking care of hiimself and not worrying about him etc. I can be friends with guys and help them out but not feel responsible and rush to take care of them if they are sick etc. I can't do that with a chick.

Also imagine how much easier it would be to find a guy who is into video games etc (although admittingly younger women are more into that now then back in my day). Guys that dig guys are seriously lucky. You got no worries about pregnancy as well (still would need to get surgery to totally prevent that possibility if I was in a relationship) etc.

Nope, I wish I was into guys, but they just don't do it for me. I wish there was a pill, I'd take it in a second.

I recently got into Beat Saber and noticed they have a BTS pack. I sampled the music and was like WT f is this?

Ain't gonna comment on their mustic, but I dislike the beat saber songs/arrows the most out of all the releases so far. I rarely play the BTS soundpack. It's just annoying (not the music, the actual gameplay)

I just started playing about a week or so ago (8 days ago I guess), I don't have set words I start with yet but usually it's something like Bread , that gets me 2 vowels and r s or t at least. I base the second word off whatever I get in the first, so it's not a set guess for sure.

I got lucky once and got the word on my second guess lol. 50% of the time I have answered in 3 or less guesses though and 1 time it took 5. I don't see it almost every taking 5 to be honest, I just guessed the wrong letter with two options. It was some wierd rarely used word that was very unlikely (don't remember but I guessed the most likely one as my 4th and then the other possible vowel combination which is never really used as my 5th.

Friend posted it to facebook like 8 days ago and so I started playing it as well, really strange it showed up on here within a week after that!

Sadly no, people are more civilized now then ever in history, but we are still animals, or at least the majority of people are animals still. It's sad, but actually animals are often more civilized than humans.

Should be mentioned that if you inform someone of the law, that specifies why they would not win a law suit, and they proceed anyway, they can be fined and also have to pay you for filing a frivulous lawsuit. You can inform them of that as well btw, which again makes it less likely for them to file one (if you want to avoid having to go to court at all).

Without doing research, which I'm too lazy to do now adays, you are not supposed to legally use pipes etc to move water/drainoff onto another persons property. If it's natural (falls off your roof etc) that is different. If someone does use a pipe to move water onto your property you can remove it.

You'd have to look into the specifics, but yeah, they can't just have a pipe that makes the runnoff go onto your property and damage it. Anything that moves over the property line onto yours can be removed directly by you (or sealed etc). Anything on their side that shoots water onto your side is still illegal but you can't alter it.

So yeah, in theory they could sue you if you blocked it and it caused water damage, but not if you informed them of it in advance (since that gives them the ability to deal with it another way). If you did inform them, do it in writting, with an email etc, so you have a way to prove you informed them, and that should prevent a lawsuit. Also inform them why you are doing that, which will prevent them from even starting a law suit lol.

Just cover the end of the pipe that is in your yard/property preventing water from coming out. It's a drainage pipe so it just means it won't drain the water from their roof heh, and you totally have the right to do that since it's on your property.

I was born a hairless mutant (other than my head). I can grow stubble on my face but not a real beard (just need to trim so it doesn't look like crap).

I've been wanting to get a new or newish SUV that I could sleep in while traveling around the US. I had one (used) but a friend needed it so I gave it to him (and it's worked well for him for over 2 years).

Sadly used prices are rediculous (up to 50% over blue book many places), and there has been a shortage of new SUVs the last few years (at least the cheaper ones).

So I was happy when I saw on Aol that 2021 SUVs were going on sale super low, liuidation prices etc.

Cept i looked into it and the largest sale I saw was 9% off lol...on a 75k car.....nothing on any cars under 40k at all.

Freaking false advertising and getting my hopes up. Honestly would rather just get something that has like under 80k miles for 10$k or so but nothing like that exists right now.

am I missing something, why would it be over? cases are off the scale compared to anything previous, and deaths are almost as bad as ever.

the only "good" part is we seem to have just crossed the omicron peak (at least maybe in USA and Canada), but statistically there's phenomenally more covid spread right now than ever, and about as many deaths as ever.

Statistically, same, or near same, number of deaths is actually significantly higher due to the fact that everyone who has died already, can not die again, meaning a large portion of the people who "could" die from covid, already have.

If you have as many people dying from covid now, as did 2 years ago, then the current strain is far deadllier basically.

If you have a virus that kills off 10% of the worlds population, and then 2 years later another strain comes along and kills off another 10% of the worlds population, that new strain would have killed of 20% of the worlds population all at once if it was the first.

Probably not that much though because you still get the set 12.55k deduction.

Not sure when the PUA Unded (sept 1st?) but it was at least 4 months before the end of the year which means only 8 months max of UE to pay taxes on. If you didn't work the other months and had no other source of income you would need to have gotten over 2k a month in UE to really have to pay anything and even then it would only be a bit.

But, if you were one of those people getting like 4k a month on UE for 8 months...just look at it like this, your just being "taxed" 10% of that (over 12.5k). and still basically come out WAY ahead this year from the government.

4k*8months is 32k you got. - 12k = 20k you get taxed only 10% on, so you give back 2k of that and are still 30k richer over all.

I wish I got that.
