Many of us watched them while they were airing, and this was before the days of netflix etc, so it's a different world now. Ds9 was great and is/was my favorite, but I have not rewatched it in a long time, and back then I could handle it taking awhile to get into a show.

Next Gen was great as well, Ds9 is decent early on but really takes off once Worf joins (he was my favorite char in both series). Cisko was my favorite captain as well. I would say try and get through season 1 if you can before giving up, and if you don't hate it try getting to season 3 where it really takes off.

That being said I don't know how it holds up to shows we get today at this point. Discovery btw was pretty good in season 1 and 2, but I gave up on season 3. Didn't watch most of Voyager or the one after that (enterprise?) at all. Couldn't stand Janeway (and not cause she's a chick, I dig chicks).

Anyway I need to rewatch Ds9 myself but there is a huge backlog of new stuff I need to watch first so it'll probably never happen.

EDIT:Got it on Epic, it's on sale for $10 right now. Wasn't gonna get any more games but I couldn't resist, that is totally right up my alley/my favorite genre!:)

I backed the Kickstarter for the new one. I never played Portia but I know I would lose myself in it if I did. Same reason I never started Stardew.

Now you know about the red head though, those are always worth getting lost in.

@wolfy42 Book of Demons goes on sale a lot for 70-80% off I believe. I actually have it but I didn't like how separate the attacking and moving felt (it's hard to explain).

That being said, it's a straight up riff on Diablo 1. Like EXACTLY, only without the itemization that made that game so good.

Nog, I played it and liked it, but I tried each of the classes, with the warrior first and mage last I think. When I finished trying the mage I stopped playing and moved on to another game on gamepass (cause there was so many at that time to try out) meaning to go back and play the warrior again. That had the least different in moving/fighting I think and was the most fun to me. I don't know how much fun it will be long term as I probably played each class maybe 3 hours each or so (went through like 3 dungeons or something), but I enjoyed enough to want to play it again out of all the games on gamepass, and almost bought it a few times. It's like $6 right now on steam, but I have spent so much on other games already (due to epic) and I am going to be getting Elden ring asap, so I'm trying to be good and not buy anymore for a bit.

Ugh, yeah, I just have spent so much on games recently. I got a bunch of $20 games on epic (red dead II, Cyberpunk 2077, valhalla etc) along with a bunch of other ones for 5-10, prob spent over $100 and I'm getting Elden Ring in Feb as well. I want Wyldersmith but I have a ton of games to play already and it'll prob be on sale again (and probably for less) in the future.

In any fight between star trek and star wars, you need to use the force in general to balance out the advanced technology (in some ways) of star trek. Without the force being invoked, the advantage (usually) of the star trek fleets would prevail.

But there are exceptions and while Picard is a highly decorated commander and has captained a star ship and fought in many wars, Thrawn is a whole different kettle of fish. I was not joking above when I said Thrawn could win with a handful of Tie's alone. Heck, I wouldn't put it past him to win with just one, or to be dropped on the enterprise naked and end up taking over the whole ship.

Thrawn is a genius, he could probably beat Picard and the whole crew of the enterprise if he was born on earth with todays technology and the enterprise decided to take over the world. Would a star destoyer normally win against the enterprise? Maybe not, but thrawn would figure a way to jump the star destroyer forward into lightspeed directly INTO the enterprise destroying both ships and evacuating his ship first, or something like that (not saying that would work specifically, just that he would use such tactics and FIND a way to win). Picard would not be willing to do what he needed to do even if he could think up a method like that. Thrawn is ruthless, imaginative, and extremely skilled and unless he was put in a position where there was ABSOLUTELY no way to win, I believe he would still win. They basically put Kirk up on a pedestal and made him able to do the impossible (much more then they ever did with Picard who they tried to make more human), but even Kirk wouldn't have a chance against Thrawn.

I ain't saying a destroyer would always win against the enterprise, or even usually, but if Thrawn was in command, they enterprise loses....end of story....unless maybe Picard can use his semi-friendship with Q to his advantage.

I have it on my wishlist but waiting for a bigger sale. Was hoping it would be on sale on epic, but it wasn't.

And now, for the convincing part!!

The universe will cease to exist if I do not get that game. While it is true, I could buy Book of Demons myself and save the universe, the fact is that the act of doing so, might still endanger reality as we know it. The story is long, but I will try and give a brief version.

So, around two million years ago, the first humans evolved and started using tools. One of those humans (well more than one, but in this case one was important) was my very very distant ancestor.

Video games did not exist in this time period, neither did the internet. In fact (and I know this may be hard to believe), neither did......TVs!!! The first humans primarily entertained themselves by throwing poop. There was a scoring system at least, but as gaming went, this was pretty much as shitty as possible. Anyway this ancestor of mine, he was what today would be called a game addict, so basically covered in poop all the time, and therefore he was pretty anti-social (didn't get out much, and the lady ape-humans kinda avoided him). This meant he was one of those solitary poop players who just passed the time playing with shit.

In the process of doing this one time he encountered the first bug in the history of gaming (and reality) and saw into the distant, distant future. Sadly what he was a music video by the waitresses called "I know what boys like" and this proceeded to drive him insane.

Now, as mentioned above, my ancestor was not a hit with the ladies, so you might wonder....how did he become your ancestor then? Well, after going insane he stopped playing with poop and started going around, dancing and singing horrible songs from the future. Thing is, there was no dancing back then, no singing, and even horrible songs were freaking awesome since "Grunt, grunt, Eeeek, grunt grunt' was the previous top hit among humans.

He basically became the first celebrity, and did his best to live up to the crazy amount of sex celebrities generally have. That is how he became my ancestor, and it's also how eventually I ended up needing to have Book of Demons or the world and perhaps the universe will end.

But I said I would keep this brief, so I will skip a few steps along the way (all very interesting steps mind you, and with less poop involved as well), moving forward through the years his ancestors continued to run into bugs, they were called prophets, or witches, killed, burned, worshiped, eaten a few times, lots of things, but anyway eventually I was born and I also encountered a bug in the universe.

The bug I encountered was simple, it let me see the future like everyone before me, but it also let me see what would happen if a specific event was not completed in the future. Sadly I did not encounter this bug until AFTER I had gotten gamepass and played Book of Demons but stopped to try out other gamepass games.

So in this bug, I saw myself finishing the game Book of Demons. There was also a hot red headed girl giving me a blowjob at the time (this is very important for the universe btw, so I would please like volunteers for this position). If I complete the game, the earth will not devolve into utter chaos after being invaded by demons from the game (seems the game has a seriously bad virus that will only be defeated if I finish it). Therefore, it is imperative that I get this game and finish it as soon as possible (while getting a blow job as we don't want to take chances, that could have been vital).

I could buy the game myself mind you, and that is still a very distinct possibility but I think the universe is trying to say something by having this game, out of so many, available on your list. I think it is obvious that you are key to me obtaining the game. I'm still working on the hot red headed blow job portion, but I'm sure that will fall into place as well.

So, I request this game, of all the games on your list, in order to save the world, and perhaps the universe (not really certain if the demons can travel to other solar systems/galaxies etc...but I guess to us it wouldn't matter much). Please do your part and pass the word on to any cute/hot red headed girls that might want to help as well:)

I would be interested in Book of Demons. I had it through gamepass and played about 10 hours of it. I meant to play more, but when I got gamepass again they had removed it. I've almost bought it a few times but my backlog is huge. I would definately play it right away if I got it and hopefully would finish it.

If someone else really wants it, i'd rather them have it since I have so many games to play, but if nobody is dying to play it, it is by far the game I would like having the most on the list:)

Thrawn would beat Picard with 3 TIE's alone.

The movie had about an hour of "decent" and then 1 1/2 hours of suck.

There have been worse movies, it wasn't totally crap, but yeah I wish I hadn't paid for it.

At least i paid for HBO MAX so I get other things (I saw suicide squad which I really liked and i'm watching everwood).

Wasn't overly happy with Dune, think i'm gonna stop getting hbo max for movies.

She has surpassed spider man for me. I love the animated show, I liked the first suicide squad (think she stole that show) and this one was way better/enjoyable then the matrix I watched yesterday.

Pretty much love her character, and really enjoyed this movie.

Matrix had one good movie, the first, and it was really good, I'd put it up against any of the original star wars movies even.....but it only had one good one.

Lord of the rings is ok, but I wouldn't say any of the movies are in the same league as the original star wars movies or the first matrix movie.

Star wars was groundbreaking, created a new genre, every one of the three movies were great (I'd say Empire is the best but shrug). I have rewatched the original star wars movies more then any other movies over the y ears (literally all three would be in my top list of times watched).

Star wars should have gotten all the votes.

Just watched it last night and it had SO much wasted potential and just went absolutely nowhere.

It was a serious dissapointment.

The first hour wasn't horrid, I was actually just sad they didn't do things like have a white castle burger in the therapists office, or call the video game Cyberpunk 2077 etc (little things that would have gotten a chuckle). They should have had the lawyer from JJ (trying to avoid spoilers) be a lesbian etc.

Things like that would have made the first half of the show better/more fun etc.

But I was like, wasted opportunity but this isn't bad so far.

Then you get past the first hour and it all just falls apart.

I could have just stopped watching at that point and i probably would have had a better over all experience.

I actually coded 3 video games in the 70's using an apple II C computer at my school (which I learned to code basic on via a program called Logo).

They were simple games but fun.

Rock is my favorite so it ranges mainly from the 60's through some of the 90's.

Nog, that still holds true even with their sale, most of the games on sale on steam still cost more than the base price of the sale on Epic, and you get an extra $10 off on top of that from the unlimited coupon.

Basically all those main games are $30 on sale on Steam and $20 on epic...i didn't buy enough to quite save $100 vs the steam sale prices, but it's close. I think if I got Biomutant it would put me over $100 but..the reviews are too negative on that.
