If it's too crappy to be worth playing more than an hour, the game is effectively an hour long of crappiness. I'd rather have a good game that's short. If I can find a good game that's long, that's even better. But length-to-price isn't the ultimate metric. Basically if I'm ever bored and feel like talking to somebody, I can always ring them to just chat. I don't even do that with my friends since we all just text each other instead of calling. They really help me keep my spirits up. Telling a goth boy he can't wear makeup or nail polish because it doesn't match what they think a boy should wear is still wrong even if the boy wasn't intending to make any kind of gendered projection with it IMO telling people you can't wear this because you're a male and you must project masculinity, and what you're doing is feminine, is an attempt to regulate people's gender expression. If you don't want to call it that, you could also just say they're forcing gender adherence. AFAIK people like the soundtrack. The plot is typical Pokemon fare, no better or worse than any other Pokemon game stories. The Pokemon are pretty beloved on the whole. It's got some fan favorites: Lucario, Infernape, Torterra, Empoleon, Luxray, Roserade, Garchomp, Gallade, Porygon-Z, Glaceon/Leafeon, and popular legendaries like Darkrai As for Sinnoh itself, I think people have fond memories of Sinnoh. It has very expansive wild routes to explore, and also features a lot of unique locations to find rare and legendary Pokemon like Darkrai, Rotom, Heatran, etc. This was the generation where they basically gave each legendary its own location and lore, even the event Pokemon. Like Shaymin got its own cavern and route coming out of victory road, and then a long flower trail into the ocean. The only real problem with Sinnoh is that you need to use a lot of HMs to navigate it. It was also completely feature-stuffed. There is a massive amount of stuff in DP. They also made huge strides toward competitive Pokemon by fixing the attack classifications and establishing online support for the series. They made the Pokeradar which was the first time they really facilitated shiny hunting in way that wasn't just "keep restarting lol" and the Poketch on the bottom screen had a lot of features you could use. --- rip to all the animals killed in wildfires. |
