Labradors and golden retrievers are boring, smelly, stupid breeds. Labs can make good special needs dogs, partly because of their high food drive and partly because they are dumb enough to be satisfied without mental stimulation.

They smell like shit because of their oily undercoat, they get aggressive, they have no sense of personal space and will run up to any random person on the street and start jumping on you. They eat literally ANYTHING even if it's not actually food. (Mainly labradors) They will happily gobble up their own vomit and crap. Yes other dogs do it also but they do it the most. And they have a high energy level, which most people don't cater to after buying them. People see them misbehaving and they just think it's cute. And there are so many of them. I wish people would stop breeding these dogs so much.

Whenever I visit a friend and they have a labrador or golden retriever, I tolerate them but I'm groaning internally.

My best friend in college had it, we were roommates for a few years. One night she got naked and started wandering around the highway. At that point she was put in a mental ward and it took a while until she was able to return to college. When she did, her parents flew over to stay with her to ensure she would be ok. But they also asked for my help with checking in on her.

The theme song is annoying as hell. It's iconic and it's ok in its alternate forms but its normal orchestration it's just annoying. Also far too long.

Itchy and Scratchy segments are lame, I always skip them.

I mostly block people who derail my topics or start fights in my threads. That way they can't mess it up any further. I also have had a few people habitually hunt down my posts and start trolling replies. Blocked. Also I sometimes have blocked people who were just plain aggressive.

Yes blocking is actually pretty useful.

I think it's a good movie. I think Inside Out is good but not great. Soul is better than Inside Out.

But I don't think I'm such a huge fan of Pixar's movies that explore psychological and existential questions so squarely. It feels too on-the-nose for me, and the metaphors don't really spark me like they need to. I like how those themes arise more naturally from some of their other movies where they just run with wild premises. Toy Story has been asking existential questions since the first movie for example.

That said, Inside Out and Soul each have a thesis that's more immediately apparent than something like Toy Story...they kind of spell it out more. In a way I appreciate that, but I still prefer the more interpretive style of some of their other movies. I think Monsters, Inc is still this director's best pixar movie.

That is a garbage church that pushes regressive-ass views. I believe it's the same one Chris Pratt keeps plugging. I think they can't be trusted because they're too pliable to online trolling mobs. As far as movies go, you get a better sense of how much people liked it by looking at the scores like CinemaScores, which trolls can't flock to and overwhelm.

I agree the final movie should feel final. For me though the idea of fighting a god doesn't feel inherently exciting. I actually dislike when everything in a superhero movie feels completely removed from our reality. Like in the latest thor movie where it's all on other planets and in space. Not at all my thing. I like it to be an earthly conflict

If you're getting an iphone 12, get a Mini. It's so much better to have a smaller phone. It doesn't compromise features either, it's the same phoen but smaller.

Iphones have more natural and fluid gesture control. They also have better media control options on the lock screen.

BUT They don't have a back button that functions the way android back buttons work. And you can't access an iphone's file system directly, which means you can't just copy and paste or move a bunch of files into or out of your iphone. .......you have to use itunes *barf*

South park is genuinely crappy pretty often and has espoused some bad opinions. Simpsons does that too but not as often.

The reason south park doesn't get in trouble for it is because they usually have a namby-pamby message that doesn't commit one way or the other. They also are known to rely on shock humor which means people expect it from them and don't get outraged when they do it. Also some of the bad views in the show clearly aren't being condoned by the writers.

The email is arranged by GoDaddy to raise awareness among employees of phishing scammers. They get somebody to write an email that resembles what a phishing email would look like -- which means it isn't ACTUALLY sent from the actual company email but is made to look as official as possible.

When I worked for IBM they did the same thing except instead of pretending to promise bonuses, it was about replacing our work computers with macbooks.

They're testing people's awareness of phishing, so obviously they are going to make the email resemble a Godaddy email. The only thing they did wrong was making it about a company bonus during a sensitive time. That said, somebody who is targeting employees for phishing might well use such a scam, so raising awareness of it is a good idea per se, but they should have used a different lure that didn't involve a bonus.

It's great.

There isn't a single JRPG that does puzzles better than Golden Sun. It integrates magic into the overworld better than any other JRPG. In most games you just use magic to attack in battles, to teleport, and to heal your party out of battles. In Golden Sun you can do all that but you also use it to solve puzzles + navigate the environment. Plus cool things like reading people's minds and using it to find secrets.

It also has the snappiest menu navigation and battles of any JRPG, while still looking impressive. There's no lag, you can breeze through the menus, and if you hold the B button in battles you can skip/speed up the attack animations but you still get to see enough for it to look fun.

Modern JRPGs like Pokemon still move slow as hell and if you want to speed it up slightly you have to go to a menu before battle and outright disable all animations, but Golden Sun got it down in 2001.

They also have great graphics for Game Boy and great soundtracks. Plus the second game has a huge map that's fun to explore.

The third game is just ok, it's not terrible and it's not great. The first two games are the great games.

The same concept, but with boosted specs and hardware, and maybe a few new minor features. Assume Nintendo loads it up with a new batch of first-party exclusives as usual, and it's strong enough to also get some gimped ports from xbox and ps5 games.

Can you foresee it being another big success? Do you think it would need to have something very new once again in order to succeed?

People on forums like this all expected Switch to be a complete flop, so I don't think it means much to ask but I'm still curious
