I'm Australian so I'll American up this topic.

My mum always votes Labor (Democrat). Dad generally votes Liberal-National (Republican). My sister votes Greens (furthest left, they're the biggest third party). I vote whoever I think is the right party at the time. Last election I voted Labor, but the previous two I voted Liberal-National. My wife always votes Greens (she's ex-Yugoslavian so communism/socialism is her dream)

I believe that politics is cyclical and in Australia at least the greater benefit is to switch between parties when the time is right. Next election I'll most likely be voting Liberal-National, because I believe that after COVID, they're better equipped to handle the economy than the Labor party.

I align economically with Liberal-National and socially with Labor. Our parties aren't very far on the spectrum. Liberal is center-right, Labor is center-left.

Yeah, I give America a lot of shit, but that's fucking awesome.

Can't buy takeaway alcohol in Australia from like 9pm-9am or some shit. And it's always in stand-alone alcohol stores - you can't buy alcohol at the grocery store or a convenience store or anything like that. Has to be a dedicated, licensed store for selling alcohol.

At least we can buy them on Sundays though!

Edit: I am referring to buying alcohol to take home, of course. Some nightclubs are licensed 24/7 on weekends in Australia.
