Once again, just look at China for much more democratized workplaces. The CEO of Huawei owns like 2% company stock and has a salary limited by government policy and yet is somehow still motivated to make executive decisions for one of the country's leading corporations.

Most private companies and all state companies have worker congresses with representatives elected by the workers.

The idea that sharing the means of production corrupts production is like saying that sharing the power to elect leaders of the nation's corrupts leadership. Democracy works.

I haven't made any argument explicily for communism in that post, I'm just poking fun at your willingness to condemn one system for its purported crimes while turning a blind eye to the mass suffering and inequality caused by capitalism that's still occurring at this very moment.

"75% good", maybe, if you count the slavery and slave-like conditions workers face in Latin America to produce Starbucks' coffee beans as 1/4th as bad as Americans' enjoyment of their morning coffee on their way to their non-unionized warehouse job.

If anything, homelessness illustrates how capitalism is voluntary. You don't have to participate.

Communism has never been voluntary, at least not for very long.

I said owning the means of production leads to corruption and also greed.

also, there are over 6 thousand Employee Stock Ownership Plan companies in capitalist America, comprising a worth of about 1.4 trillion usd.

Thats not communism, thats just a company structure, that works on a small scale basis.

Aside from being free to create worker-owned companies if we wish to do so, you can't actually have a "mix" of capitalism and socialism. We have a market economy, just like Scandinavia does.

I would argue most Western nations have some socialistic policies, but yeah, at the end of the day capitalism and socialism are two separate economic systems that are fundamentally opposed.
