Congrats!

Silent rules at lower Ascensions (shivs are fun as hell) but the issue is that when playing A20 the only strats really viable for her are poison stacking and lucking into intangible through wraithform + apparition. She was my favorite character by far up until around A11 and then other characters lap her. It's a shame. While select cards like Wraith Form, Corpse Explosion, and Catalyst are unbelievable, she just has an overwhelming number of terrible cards at higher levels so she's inconsistent.

And the devs made it worse by adding a mana cost to Well-Laid Plans. :(

Yeah, I picked up Wraith Form thinking it was going to apply intangible every turn (I knew it was too good to be true but I had to at least try it), then when I discovered the way it actually works, I was severely disappointed and decided to remove it next chance I got.

Then I happened to draw it when I was facing a huge attack I couldn't fully block, with near certainty of victory in a couple of turns and I was like weeeeeeell.... Then it proceeded to get me through like half of act 3 and all of act 4, lmao.

So after getting my first act 3 victory as on my 4th run as The Silent, I got my first act 4 victory AND my first A1 victory on my 5th run as The Silent.

The Silent is downright broken.

Nobody should have to work. Work should be fun. Bread and circuses should be delivered by altruistic little elves. But there's a real world and it doesn't care about should.

Minimum wage does need to go up. A lot, actually. In fact, in very short time, the absurd 2015 figure of $15/hr will very much be reasonable. But it's absurd to try to act like there's no downside here or like the shoulds aren't in conflict.

Well it's 35 years old, and a launch title for one of the biggest gaming generation jumps in history. So naturally it's gonna be dated and simple. It's a fun game but people who laud it as the greatest game ever are looking at it from that perspective. If you play a 2600 game (literally any released prior to '85), there's no comparison.

I actually just beat it for the first time a mere five years ago. It's way underrated in terms of difficulty IMO. Lots of "superhard" games for the NES took me a lot less time and a lot less tries to beat.

It's pretty easy. You can find videos on youtube teaching you how. It's more or less like spreading jelly on toast, only easier since the paste isn't very dense. Last time I did it, Arctic Silver was the paste of choice, but that's been a while so it might be something else these days.

I actually got to the heart, thanks to two of those and two of the one that does the power where you just keep getting more and more energy every turn.

Super bonus points if you go wrath, destroy all the enemy's block, use wallop, then enter calm.

I thought it was unremarkable but I especially didn't like Mallow's story because he's obsessed with finding his real parents at the expense of the frog and that's just played straight, there's no lesson about your family being who raised you or whatever.

that the next installment will not have any single-player content whatsoever. Also, if the next installment has not been announced, they have announced it sort of by necessity.

CEO Thomas J DevsBro III provided this information in an interview with DevsMag.

Nobody plays single player anymore lol. And nobody has real friends either, what with the pandemic and stuff, so we took out couch multiplayer too. We decided not to waste money on crap nobody wanted so we can enrich the online multiplayer experience with more hats.

When asked about the idea that hats are usually paid DLC anyway, he commented:

Yeah but we have actually secured the licenses for real-world hat brands so we can use their logos for the DLC hats. That costs money, you know! *laughs* You will still have to pay for the hats though. But where they would have been an extra dollar more expensive for the branding, they're now the same old $2.99 figure everyone knows and loves.

He went on to comment:

Besides, we here at DevsCo are very much interested in hearing our players' voices. If players voice a desire for a traditional single-player campaign-- though I can't imagine why--we will absolutely be willing to add one back in as DLC for a reasonable sum. I mean, the mechanics and some of the resources are already there so it probably won't cost as much as a full game normally does, while there are some companies that sell a single-player campaign for full MSRP!

Mostly that there aren't a lot of major Nintendo characters, other than villain of the week types, that haven't gotten in yet. Most of the ones that are left are B-list or beyond. Not that I would mind having a lot of those B-list or beyond types: Black Shadow, Isaac, Daisy, Waluigi, Jody Summer, Dixie Kong, Rundas, etc.

You could argue he's a Square character, and that may have something to so with why they don't do it but as far as wanting him in the game, it's a moot point.

Those places don't have work. And if you are commuting long distance for your work, your costs are increasing with car maintenance and gasoline, not to mention generally just losing free time for a second job or mental health(most min wage workers need one because most min wage jobs are not full time).

Pretty much like other 3D games on DS. The bigger issue is the camera, honestly.

Are you playing on a 3ds? Despite it not actually being analog movement, I found the circle pad helps tremendously in making the game feel better to play. It's somehow smoother imo.

DS Lite. I could try 3DS but for now at least, the D-pad feels fine. I may have just played more early PS1 games than the average gamer.

It's funny you mention that because AotC's structure was possibly its least problematic aspect. TLJ had way worse structure problems.

I'm still completely baffled by the vocal hatred of The Last Jedi. It'll never make a lick of sense to me.

Mostly people mad because George Lucas never thought of doing a lightspeed ram and somehow this is Rian Johnson's fault.

Now the movie did have other problems, like being mostly filler and disproving its own point, but the main internet complaint is that it did something new, which is clearly unacceptable.
