Using Spec Ops as an example, I absolutely loved everything about it BUT the gameplay, which was pretty horrible. It's one of the most memorable games I've ever played. In order for the DS games to have more than these do, you either had to find somebody willing to trade you hundreds of Pokemon, or you had to buy a bunch of games to trade/transfer to yourself. The regional dex is almost twice the size of the DS games, meaning you can catch more Pokemon just within the game itself than you could in those.
