Hawkeye has a legit family
Black Widow said her family was the team. Which was basically about to disband as we know it.

Hawkeye had something to live for, so he was ultimately the more "feel good" choice.

EDIT: Also probably a case of ScarJo being willing to do one more movie (the solo flick) but not more. And Hawkeye's easier to write out when still alive than Widow is, especially after she made clear her motivation IS the team.

Is there seriously no pity mechanic at ALL in this game? I just used another 70 tickets since I haven't in awhile and still haven't gotten an SSR. I've got to be up over 300 used by now and haven't gotten one since the very first time.

Oh, I understand some people are tired of, say, Sonya or Kano. But it extends beyond that.

Like, the MK11 boards here are full of people going "It's bad enough we have to have Sub-Zero and Scorpion and Raiden again. I don't want Reptile/Johnny/Cyrax/Kitana/etc. I want new characters. Oh, and Frost.

People don't seem to want ANY classic characters back. But do want random 3D-era females back.

Like, if they had just cut that down into like a 5 minute trailer and put it on their Youtube, it'd have been perfect

But when you hype it up that much and act like it's this huge thing and then basically go "Here's 5 characters, a system you expected to be in it from MK10/Injustice, and then some kind of story okay bye" and it's so close to release, it's a bit of a disappointment compared to how they hyped it up.
