So many people just click on stuff cause the sender was a former client or coworker, or opposing counsel, or what have you and it gets annoying when the email literally doesn't mention them by name, or have anything in the body. They specialized in old abandonware games that were prohibitively expensive or difficult to find hard copies of. Steam did not sell these games initially, and even to this day there's not a lot of overlap between PC games released pre-2006 on Steam and GOG. Even when there *is* overlap, the folks behind GOG generally do a fantastic job implementing community patches and post-release configuration tweaks to ensure that the old game you bought will run "out of the box" on your modern computer; generally the same title on Steam is *not* going to have those, so it becomes your responsibility to look around online for the necessary configurations and fixes. GOG also does not require any DRM for the majority of games sold there, meaning you don't need an additional launcher running on your computer to play the games. You just download the .exe and install and it works. And even when GOG *did* start selling modern releases and competing with Steam, it never made any unfair bids for exclusivity. Even now that's not the case. I think there's ONE CDPR game (CDP owns GOG, that's where they started) which is the Gwent collectible card game. All other Witcher games and the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 are going to be released on Steam, too. Epic has none of that. Just wondering if it could have "accidentally" been sent out with the links pointing to this company before I 1 Star it on Google for spamming my e-mail account with a fraudulent e-mail. edit: And it *is* a real company's website. I loved Ash, that's a good example of a character where he didn't mind saying what was on his mind, even if it wasn't politically correct, but the characters around him also reacted in a way that made it clear it wasn't acceptable. I think it was a good compromise there. Like I said I only made it 5 minutes in Eastbound and Down but it starts off with a news montage of him saying racist and homophobic things without any repercussions, and then he's driving down the road in a big pickup truck drinking a beer and flipping random people off, and then he's eating lunch with his brother's family and kids saying things that seem like they should be making his brother/sister-in-law uncomfortable but they don't really react in a way that demonstrates that. But... Jagr_68 posted... The show manipulates you to see him for his awesomeness the same way Kenny idolizes himself so that when he does gain humility and empathy, it's more meaningful to the story and people around him. So you're saying there is some character development where there are repercussions for what he does? I know I didn't give it a lot of time, but it just didn't feel like it was headed in that direction, so I appreciate your insight there. gatorsPENSbucs posted...
